Chapter 26: Fiancé

Jennie's POV:

"Unnie where are you?" Nayeon asked frustratedly on the other line as I drive that made me form a smirk.

"Wow, you actually missed me Nayeon-ah," I teased.

"Tchh.

Of course I do unnie! Do you know how many times I've called huh? 20 missed calls to be exact unnie!

And yes, I'm in your office right now waiting for you so could you please hurry up already and be here? Where are you anyways unnie?"

She replied quite irritated that just made me chuckled.

"I'm sorry, my phone was in silent mode and I'm on the road right now," I explained to her.

"Wow, you know how quite surprising it is that you're not in your office right? Where are you even going?" She asked curiously.

"Well, myself is rather amused about it too, and uhm...I'm about to meet a friend actually," I answered honestly.

"W-wait? What?! F-friend? like, who? Jisoo unnie?"

Another giggle escaped my lips with her reaction.

"Nope! I met a new friend slash client just this week and I'm about to go to her own cafe to personally make a deal with her,"

"Chinchaa?! You're kidding me right now, aren't you?

You mean, the Jennie Kim who has been entitled the world's bitchiest boss is not in her office and about to meet her NEW friend other than Kim Jisoo and Nayeon?!

You know how would this be the headline for centuries, right?

I mean, THIS IS ACTUALLY UNBELIEVABLE UNNIE! That's like, on another level of character development!" She exaggerated that just made me roll my eyes playfully.

"Shut uppp.

I'm just somehow changing my life style of being a workaholic slightly since Jisoo unnie has been nonstop scolding me and reminding me to have fun recently, okay?

So stop with the exaggeration won't you?"

I defended though I really don't know why that made me heard her giggles in the other line.

"Alright, alright, what's the na-"

"hold on, she's calling. I'll talk to you later okay? Sorry if you've been waiting me there but I'll make it up to you!"

"What? Wai-"

"Love yah, bye Nayeon'ah! mwuah!"  I exclaimed before answering Chaeyoung's incoming call.

I wasn't lying, okay?

"Oh hi! I'm on my way, am I taking too long? I'm so sorry!"  I automatically greeted and spoke without knowing the reason why she was really calling.

"Uh-H-hi too? I guess?" she replied confused and I guess taken back with my not so greeting.

"Oh, haha. I'm so sorry! I assumed instantly that you were calling because I was taking too long to arrived," 

"Oh no no no, I just arrived here at the cafe too! no worries! I just called to ask if you're near already so I can prepare something for you," She replied with assurance. 

I must say Chaeyoung is really nice.

"Oh wow. That's.. that's so nice of you," I complimented with sincerity that made her chuckle.
