Chapter 30: Boyfriend

YUP, FINALLY AN UPDATE!

Lisa's POV:

"Let me help you," A voice said that made me stop cleaning the dirty dishes.

Without turning my back, I waited for her to come near as I hear her footsteps becoming louder.

"Chaeyoung's talking to someone," she added as I guess she noticed I was not saying anything.

I didn't reply and just continued washing when she reached for the soap and our hand touched that made her, flinched?

"S-sorry," she said as she broke the eye contact we were making unconsciously.

"It's fine," I replied finally talking.

Being near her still affects me, and I hate it.

"Thank you for still doing this, Ms.Kim," I added to ease the tension.

"Please, just Jennie, Lisa. At least give that away for me," She replied in a lower tone that made me looked her way again.

Her eyes... they look so sad yet, so mesmerizing.

I turned my head away and shook my head before I feel anything unusual again.

"Y-yeah o-of course, Jennie," I replied awkwardly as silence engulfs the both of us again.

. A lot of questions running through my head but no words are being let out.

I want to know.

I want answers.

I want answers to those whys that I have been wondering.

But I can't.

Not that easy.

I'd rather not if it means ruining what I have now.

If it means losing Chaeyoung,

I don't want to.

"I'm so sorry, I had to take that call," my fiancé who just entered the kitchen broke the silence.

And just like that, I missed the chance to heal the past she left me with.

I heard my phone ringing that woke me up from my trance.

It's Chaeyoung.

"Hey babe, where are you?"

"Hey, I'm almost near her company. I'll let you know if she's with me already."

"Okay, take care then. Make sure she comes with you 'cause she might decline to be fetch I'm sure,"

"Yeah I will,"

"Alright, I love you"

"I love you too"                         

I responded before I ended the call. I guess it's time to speed up.

Jennie's POV

"Yes, please let everyone knows that I can't have meetings for this week. Cancel everything and make sure to announce that I'll be on leave." I said on the line as I hear a knock on my door's office.

"Come in," I responded as soon as I end the call with my PA.

"Good morning Ms.Kim," my new secretary greeted as he gave me smile.
