Baby sat at her bet side, writing in her journal. She had it long before all this mess happened. She loved to write in it, no matter what it was about, it made her feel better. The most that filling the pages lately have been her thoughts of Elizabeth. She couldn't stop them it was just the naturalism of things it seemed. Sighing, she closed it and placed it inside her safety box, here most valuable belongings went inside, she slid it back under her bed and pulled the sheets back down. Standing up and going to take a shower. The sound of the door being knocked on stopped her and made her poise hike up.
Baby turned to it and walked to the door. As expected, Elizabeth was waiting for her to open it. She opened the door and greeted the girl as she stood their with her bag filled up, she didn't usually carry and bag with her when visiting Baby.
Baby closed the door behind Elizabeth as she came in.
"I've got some AMAZING things to show you Liz!" She exclaimed as she practically bounced to circus gallery. Baby blinked and came and sat next to her on the edge of the stage. Elizabeth opened her bag and pulled something out. Baby tilted her head curiously.
"What is it?" She asked the orange headed girl.
"It's a radio silly goose!" Elizabeth giggled and sat it down.
"I figured since the end of summer was coming, you could listen to the radio and get some insight on the world while sitting in here by yourself." Elizabeth explained.
Baby blinked and starred at the strange machinery before her. Elizabeth sat it down on the table and turned the dial, a weird static station rang out. Baby twisted the dial and a song came through. She tilted her head at the weird sounding techno music coming through.
Elizabeth had a look of disgust on her face as she switched it to something else. A different song came through the speakers. Baby seemed to relax as a soft melody played.
Elizabeth looked at her wrist watched and hugged Baby goodbye.
"I have to go Liz, school's starting soon, don't wanna be late on my first day" She said as she ran off, Baby waving her goodbye. She seemed to be attached to the radio already as she laid back and starred at the ceiling, the sweet sound of a melody ringing in her ears.
With a soft sigh, Baby surfed through her phone, seeing what she could do. A video popped up.
"Ice...chewing?" Baby tapped on it in confusion but also slight poise. After a while, she looked at the fridge and got up from her seat. Baby pulled an ice cube from the tray and placed it in her mouth, closing her mouth and crunching it down to tiny bits that melted in a very short time-span. She sat down and continued listening to the soft melody. Typing something in, something appeared in the space bar. Before she could tap on it, a loud sound pulled her attention from the device. The jingling of a bell could be heard, Baby followed the jingle.
Slightly nervous, she tried to keep herself calm and collected. Baby moved aside objects, scanning and searching for the source of the sound. Baby jumped as the sudden feel of fur brushed against her leg. She looked down and stared, seeing a tiny kitten rubbing against her. Baby tilted her head and saw the mess it made across from her feet. Books scattered all across the floor. The kit mewed at her for attention. Baby smiled and held it close as she gently picked up the mess and rearranged everything.
"it's ok... it was only an accident." Baby said, consoling the kitten. She noticed the kitten was very thin in body size.
"Well then, I think someones hungry" She said bringing to the table, going to the cabinets and checking. Grabbing a small can of meat she checked what it was and made sure it was safe for the kit to eat. Pouring it into a bowl, she sat it down on the table near the tiny animal as it hungrily gobbled up the granted meal. Baby smiled knowing she did something good. Seeing the collar she pulled the tag up gently as to not disturb it from its meal. She read the tag, Nina.
"So, that's your name I suppose." Baby said, trying to talk to it.
"Well I'm sure Elizabeth will love a nice little gift like you..."
Grabbing a box, she wrote on it and pulled the collar off of the kitten. Placing soft bedding inside the box she placed the animal inside and made her way secretly to the Afton home.
Elizabeth made her way home as she opened the door and ran to her room. Closing the door behind her she flopped down tiredly on her bed. A sudden fuzzy head rubbed against her cheek, looking up she saw a small kitten, a box at the head of her bed tipped over, blankets spilling out, a flap on the box having writing.
"enjoy, her name is Nina."
