Baby whimpered lightly, laying on the bed as Elizabeth held her hand. Bandages around her abdomen and stained with her fluids. Tears fell from her eyes as she looked at Elizabeth with fearful cries.
"I-I didn't mean to."
"I know you didn't mean to, Liz." She said, her voice calm as she tried to relax the girl. Baby found it hard to breathe. Whether it be because of her crying or because of her bleeding torso.
"Elizabeth, we need to talk to you." Elijah said. He had a rolled blue paper in his hand. It looked big enough to be a poster. Baby knew better, though. Elizabeth kissed Baby's head gently.
"I'll be right back, Liz-bear." She said, getting up and following him out of the room. Baby cried and squeezed her hand closed, savoring the warmth of Elizabeth's hand. She turned her head and sniffled, refraining from moving as much as possible. Her body shook from the agonizing pain. She closed her eyes. She didn't know what happened or why it happened. She couldn't seem to stop it, though.
Not much time passed before the door cracked open again. Baby looked over, her eyes bleary with tears. She saw Elizabeth come through again.
"Lizzie, I need you to please relax and listen, Okay?" She asked as she gently stroke her cheek with her hand. Baby held it there and nodded.
"What happened was a work of Dad's crimes. He built that for you to kidnap and make victims for him." She said, her brow furrowed, out of anger towards her father. Baby sniffled and hugged the girl.
"We just need to figure out how to get control of it." She finished.
Baby nodded and kissed her gently, her tears getting on Elizabeth's lips as well as her own. Baby sat up and to her surprise, she didn't feel any pain. Elizabeth grabbed her shoulders, trying to get her to lay down. Baby didn't budge, only pulling at the bandages and undoing them.
"Lizzie stop!" She shouted, trying to keep her from reopening her wounds and bleeding out. She sat the bloodied wrappings aside and stood. Her shirt had been removed to be washed while she was being taken care of, leaving her in just her bra. She ran her hand over the area, no blood or fresh wounds like before. It had healed itself in a relatively quick time frame. She looked at Elizabeth, making sure she wasn't crazy.
She found the girl wide with disbelief as she put her hands to the robots stomach. It was clean and unharmed, only thing that made it dirty was the blood and residue from the bandages. Baby pulled her pigtails out and let her hair fall from its shape. She sighed and held her face. Elizabeth rubbed her back.
"It'll be alright, Liz." She whispered to her, trying to relax her. Baby hugged her, burying her face in the girls neck and shoulder. She let out soft sobs and held the girl close. She was scared this would happen again. If it did then there would be no telling what they could do or if she could stop it again. She didn't even know if she was the one to stop it or if it just gave up from lack of use and energy given.
Baby shook and felt her fears surround her, the walls closing in on her and suffocating her. She choked on tears and the imaginary walls that squeezed her life from her soul. Elizabeth shushed her gently, easing her as she kissed her cheek and comforted her. The walls easing away as if the presence of Elizabeth forced them away with her calming and loving aura.
"We're planning to take you to Uncle Elijah's friend, hes an engineer and he worked with some robot tinkering. He's gonna help you with this...claw thing. I'm gonna make sure you can still entertain Lenia and give ice cream among other things." She said, a gentle smile on her face.
Baby smiled back and kissed her. Elijah smiling at them. Laura ran in with Lenia and jumped on Baby, causing her to yelp as they snuggled against her in tears.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to make that happen! I didn't even know it would!" Laura cried to her. Baby ran her hand through Laura's hair and gently shushed her.
"It wasn't your fault, don't blame yourself." She comforted quietly. She gently sat Lenia on the bed and pulled the tightly hugging Laura off her waist. She looked the girl in her eyes and ran her rather large hand over her cheek, much like Elizabeth did to her.
"Nothing I do is you're fault." She said. Her voice no longer filled with pain. She had a low fondness in her heart for children, despite having trouble being around them due to her anxious feelings. Laura gave her a final embrace before going outside with her sister.
Baby sighed and laid on the bed. Elizabeth kissed her cheek gently.
"I'll make some tea for us." She said with a smile.
Baby smiled back to her and grabbed her, pulling her on top of her body. Elizabeth's face turned full on red shortly before she was pulled into a loving kiss from her tall robotic girlfriend below her. The two giggled at each other to themselves. Elizabeth sat up and got off of Baby and went to the kitchen.
Baby smiled more, it was a new record for her with how fast she calmed down back into a normal feeling.
Her eyes glided over her bedside table, the one she kept her journal in. She blinked and sat up, throwing her legs over the edge and scooting close to the table. She opened it and pulled the worn journal out. She was gonna have to do something with this eventually when she finally ran out of paper.
She opened it and flipped through the pages. A quick wobbling flutter as the pages flipped through. Baby wasn't sure what she was going to do. With herself, with the journal. Her oldest and most important belonging in her life since her abuse. She closed it and held it to her chest.
She was going to have to learn more about herself and how she was built. But, how?
Her eyes glided over to the door as she went out and into the back bedroom. It was being used as a spare room lightly, a closet against the wall beside the door and a stair way that led into the garage and other parts of the house. She looked and saw a wall against the wall that was shared with the door. She went in and noticed that blue paper Elijah had before. It was blueprints. She could see from the designs of it. The crossing of lines vertically and horizontally making a blank checker pattern of squares spread far and wide on how ever big the paper was.
She went over to it and ran her fingers along the smooth paper. It had a fine finish to it, like it had been laminated. Her eyes widened a bit as she noticed what character the blueprints were for. These blueprints were of her.
One of Baby's brows raised and she hummed curiously.
"This could work" She mumbled to herself.
