Aura stood right behind John, hands behind her back as she looked around awkwardly. The smell of alcohol and cigarettes filled her nose and she coughed in disgust. The pub was filled. Stuffed even. People really seemed to love the band to want to come every Friday. Aura hadn't been out in a while so going out to a party was a bit of a shock to her.John looked at her and smiled, pointing to the bar counter.
"Go get yourself a drink, I have to go see the boys." He said then turning and walking towards the backstage, leaving her completely alone in the crowded area. She took a deep breath and walked towards the bar, laying her elbows on the counter, hoping the bartender will notice.
After many failed attempts in getting his attention, she gave up and sat down on the bar stool, fidgeting with her fingers as she observed the stage. There stood many speakers attached to wires and smoke machines scattered all over the place. A beautiful red guitar sat on stage along with John's bass. Behind there was a pretty large drum kit. She nodded impressed.
Basically a real band she thought and laughed.
"What can I get you, love?" A deep voice caught her attention and she turned around. She smiled at the handsome man that stood before her. She turned her body towards him and pushed her hair behind her ear.
"I'm not much of a drinker so I'll have a glass of whatever you recommend me." She said with a laugh. He smiled, turning his back to her and starting on her drink. As she patiently waited for her drink or the show to start, she was taken by surprise when John came up behind her, followed by three other men. He put his hand on her shoulder and she jumped, frightened by the sudden action. When she turned and saw his goofy smile she relaxed.
"Jesus Christ, John. That's twice in one day."She said with slight annoyance in her voice. John let out a chuckle, bringing a hand to his face and pushing his hair away. He turned slightly on the side, showing off what she could only assume were his bandmates. She gulped and took a deep breath, the air leaving her lungs way too quickly which resolved in her almost choking.
"Aura, dear. These are my mates! That's Freddie, our lead singer." He pointed towards one of the guys. She smiled at him, taking in his look. He wore a pair of tight black jeans followed by a plain blue shirt and topped off with an overdramatic vest. His hair fell to the sides of his beautifully colored skin and stopped right before his shoulders. She noticed some details about his face like how his cheekbones were very sharp or how his eyebrows were shaped over his eyes and she loved it. She had only now seen him and she adored his style. She brought her hand up, ready to shake his hand to be polite.
"Lovely to meet you. May I just say I adore your style." She beamed. Freddie smiled and wrapped his arms around her figure, bringing her in for a hug which led her to stand there, not knowing what to do. She laughed and put an arm around him.
"Thank you, darling! You are positively gorgeous! Now tell me, where did you get that lovely dress?" He said, clearly intrigued. Her eyes met Johns and she let out a laugh.
"John got it for me."She answered. Freddie turned to John and smiled.
"Deaky you must help me go shopping soon." He clapped, making the people around him laugh. John pointed to the next one in line. A tall man with beautiful curly hair. It covered his entire head and fell to his wide shoulders. His jaw was sharp and his nose was a bit longer but she found it cute. He had hazel colored eyes and a beautiful smile. He was dressed in some black dress pants, a cheap white blouse which he had covered up with a button up black vest that exposed his chest lightly. The man smiled pulled his hand out as she had previously done with Freddie.
"Hello, love. I'm Brian. I play lead guitar with the band. It's really lovely to meet you! John always talks about you." He said with a calm and relaxing voice making her swoon. She shook his hand.
"All good things I hope." She said and looked at John who rolled his eyes playfully. After letting go of Brian's hand, the last member walked forward. Now he was a sight. Dirty blond, almost brown hair that fell over his eyes slightly and right after his shoulders. His eyes were bright blue and she couldn't help but notice how his eyes were slightly bigger and puffier. It suited him. He had slightly tanned skin and wore basically nothing. A flower patterned vest over his bare shoulders and checkered pants. His style was interesting she thought. He smiled goofily and eyed her up and down like she was an animal, making her raise her brow with attitude.
"Well aren't you a sight to see?" He said with a hint of flirting in his voice. She crossed her hands over her chest, not even offering him a handshake.
"Charming."She said coldly. She didn't like him already. He laughed and came close to her, basically forgetting the others were present. He tilted his head and looked her up and down once more before smirking.
"I'm Roger Taylor. Drums." He said. The pair stared at each other for a good thirty seconds. Her glaring at him and him smirking. Brian coughed awkwardly, making both of them snap out of their trans. She put on a smile.
"Well, we should head up there." He said while pointing with his head towards the small stage. "Aura would you like a spot on the side? Perhaps you could see us a little better." Brian offered nicely with a warm smile. She returned the smile and waved him off.
"Thank you, Brian, for the lovely offer but I'll stay here at the bar and watch. I haven't been out in a while and I have a small feeling that I'll be getting lots of refills tonight." She said and looked slightly at Roger before looking back at the boys. She grabbed her drink that the bartender left for her while she was talking to them. They all smiled and John put a hand on her shoulder.
"You sure?" He asked sweetly. She nodded and took a sip of whatever was in the cup.
"I'llbe fine, John don't worry about me." She smiled.
"Now go on stage and show me how good you boys are." She pushed him slightly away and John laughed, thanking her before walking away with the three others. She watched as they all walked up on the stage with a couple of cheers from the crowd. Her eyes met Roger's and he smiled, picking up his drumsticks before sitting down at his drum kit. Two female fans looked at Roger in awe and he winked at them, only bringing more squeals to the room. Aura rolled her eyes before taking a swig of her drink, finishing it. The bartender noticed and refilled her.
"Hello everyone!" Brian said into the microphone. A few cheers were heard. She looked at her best friend who appeared to be slightly nervous. She smiled at him and mouthed you'll be great to him which he slightly smiled at.
"So we're back after basically two weeks of no-shows."He chuckled.
"We hope you missed us." Freddie said into the microphone and some laughed and replied to them with a yes. Brian smiled.
"Well, not much has changed since. Our first album is officially done and you guys can come up to us at the end of the show if you'd like a copy. Oh and also! Perhaps you noticed that there is a stranger on stage with us." Brian explained. Aura laughed.
"Well, this is John Deacon. Or well we call him Deaky but only we're allowed to do that."Brian laughed and John waved at the crowd.
"From now on he is our bassist. Of course, I'm still here and so is Roger and Freddie. Anyways we won't keep you waiting much longer." He finished before the band started playing.
Wowie! Hopefully, you all enjoyed the second chapter! I had lots of fun describing the boys and writing about how much Aura and Roger are... different haha. Anyways! Stay tuned for next week's chapter! Let's just say that there will be some drunken mistakes UWU
