Savannah checked her phone and sighed before looking at Gemma. "Do you mind if I go get my sister from school?"
Gemma shook her head. "No, I don't mind. She's welcome to hang out here when you need her to." She put a hand on her hip as she turned from the file cabinet. "How old is she? Old enough to be on a bike? I can send one of the guys to pick her up."
Savannah chuckled. "Oh, that would make her day."
Gemma nodded and smirked. "Well, let's do that then. Text her and tell her to look for a motorcycle." She walked over and opened the door to stick her head out. "Juice! Come here a minute." When he walked in, Gemma motioned at Savannah. "Can you go pick up her sister at the high school?"
He nodded and smiled at Savannah. "Sure. Do I need to go in and get her?"
She shook her head, getting up to hold her phone out to him. "No, she'll meet you in the parking lot. This is what she looks like and her name is Charlie."
He looked at the picture on her phone and nodded. "Gotcha. Ok, we'll be back in a bit."
When he walked back out, Savannah grinned. "He seems like a sweet guy."
Gemma grinned and nodded. "Yeah, he's a good one, if a bit shy." She looked at Savannah she sat down at the desk. "You got a guy? Married or seeing someone?"
Savannah chuckled and shook her head. "No. I've been busy raising Charlie... I guess it didn't occur to me."
Gemma just nodded and smirked. "Honey, a man should always occur to you."
They both laughed before going back to work. A little while later, they heard Juice returning with Charlie and they both looked up as the teenager walked into the office, wide-eyed and grinning.
"Do you people have something special in the water here?"
Gemma frowned as she took off her glasses. "I don't think so, why?"
Charlie motioned to the parking lot. "Every single guy here is hot. Even the old geezers!"
Savannah face-palmed as Gemma started laughing. "Charlotte Mackenzie Harper!"
Gemma just waved a hand at Savannah as she grinned at Charlie. "Honey, you might want to keep the old geezer comments to a minimum."
Charlie just smirked and pointed at her sister. "The dude with the mohawk that picked me up? He smelled great! You should totally take him for a spin."
Savannah shook her head as she stared at her sister in shock. "What is wrong with you today?"
Charlie stuck her tongue out at her and grinned when Gemma started laughing again. "Nothing, I'm just jazzed after that ride. You should have seen Stacy's face when Juice yelled my name. I thought she was going to have a stroke, right there in the parking lot." She sighed. "It was great."
As soon as Gemma got herself under control, she grinned at Charlie. "If you have homework, you can go in the clubhouse and do it. Tell whoever is behind the bar that I said you could have a soda." She thought for a moment before standing up. "Ya know, I'll walk you in. There might be something you can have in the kitchen for a snack."
Charlie chuckled and nodded. "I could eat. I love this place!"
Savannah just shook her head and went back to the invoices in front of her, not paying attention to when the door opened until she heard a throat clear and looked up to see Juice standing there with a work order in his hand. She gestured to the papers in his hand.
"You got another one done?"
Juice looked at her with a blank expression for a second before blushing slightly and nodding. "Uh, yeah, the Kia's ready." He handed her the work order then shoved his hands in his pockets. "So... you like it here so far?"
Savannah grinned and nodded. "Yeah, I do. Everyone seems really nice." Juice nodded and smiled at her and Savannah felt her breath catch at how handsome he was. She cleared her throat to continue. "Thanks again for picking up Charlie."
Juice nodded. "Oh yeah, no problem. She seems like a nice kid. You ever need her picked up again, just let me know."
Savannah smiled. "I will, thanks."
Juice nodded as he heard Chibs yelling his name. He gestured toward the garage. "I gotta go. I'll talk to you later, ok?"
Savannah nodded as he went back to the garage. She finished the report she was working on then decided to call it a day since it was getting close to five o'clock. As she walked over to the clubhouse, she grimaced when she saw the tow truck pull in with a car that had a deer sticking through the windshield. She shook her head as she listened to Jax giving a younger guy a hard time before walking inside to find her sister at a table in the corner.
Charlie grinned as she saw her sister walk up and sit down across from her. She pointed to the other side of the room and snickered. "They have a stripper pole."
Savannah shook her head as she heard Gemma laughing from behind her. "Should I be concerned that you even know what a stripper pole is?"
Gemma patted her on the back. "Honey, nowadays I'd be more surprised if a seventeen-year-old didn't know what one was. You ready to finish up for the day?"
Before she could answer, the doors flew open and Jax and Chibs were carrying a younger man inside, blood pouring from a wound on his arm. They sat him down in a chair as Savannah and Gemma rushed over, Gemma looking at her son.
"What happened?"
Jax shook his head as he pressed bar towels to the wound. "He got on the wrong side of the chainsaw trying to get a deer out of a car. You need to call Tara."
Savannah pushed him to the side and moved the towel from his arm and looked at the wound. "What's your name, sweetheart?"
The younger man looked up at her, dazed. "Uhh... Lowell."
She nodded and gave him a small smile. "Ok, Lowell, well I'm Savvy. Let's see if we can get you patched up, ok?" She turned to Jax, who was staring at her stunned. "I need something to sew him up." She shook her head when he just continued to stand there. "Now!"
