Savannah cursed under her breath as the Jeep behind her hit his lights and sirens. She pulled onto the lot of TM and parked where she usually did, David Hale parking in front of her and getting out to walk around to her driver's side door. He nodded his head as he leaned into her open window.
"Good morning, Savannah."
Savannah blew out a breath and nodded. "David. What kind of bullshit is this?"
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Juice and Chibs walking out of the clubhouse and Jax and Opie coming from the garage with Gemma right behind them. David shook his head as he looked at her. "Am I going to have trouble with these guys just because I need to talk to you?"
Savannah looked at him and shook her head. "Well, since you made a production out of following me in with lights and sirens, probably."
David gave her a small smile. "Well, I thought you'd pull over before we got here, but it is what it is. I honestly just want to talk to you."
Savannah nodded. "So talk."
Before he could say anything, Jax was stepping into his personal space with a smirk. "You got a warrant to be on this property Deputy Chief?"
David nodded to himself and stepped back. "Yeah, we're going to do this the hard way." He turned to Savannah and motioned for her to open her door. "Ms. Harper, would you step out of the vehicle please?" Savannah muttered under her breath as she threw her door open and stepped out. David stepped around her and bent into the car, opening the glove compartment. He pulled out a small handgun and held it up in front of her face. "I don't suppose you have a permit for this."
Savannah glared at him and crossed her arms over her chest. "You know that I have one, David. I just don't have it on me." She shrugged. "It's not even loaded."
David nodded. "Yep, I do know that because I've given you a warning before. Step over to the Jeep, please."
Juice stepped up in front of David and got in his face. "This is a bullshit offense and you know it!"
David shook his head. "Carrying without a permit isn't a bullshit offense, no matter what you guys think. Now, back up and let me do my job." When Jax put a hand on Juice's shoulder to pull him back, David put a hand on Savannah's back and gently moved her toward the Jeep. Once she was in the passenger seat, he turned to Juice and nodded. "I'll bring her back as soon as I'm done talking to her."
Juice shook his head. "You could have talked to her here."
David smirked and tilted his head. "Really? I couldn't get a word in edge wise before I was being questioned myself."
Without another word, David walked around and got into the driver's seat of his Jeep and backed out of the lot.

"Would you like a cup of coffee or something? There might be some donuts left in the break room."
Savannah shook her head and just stared at David for a moment before replying. "No, David. What I would like is to know what's so important that you brought me in on a trumped up charge. I really need to be at work."
David smirked and shook his head. "Work. Yeah, I heard that you're working for SAMCRO now. Savannah, I really think that you need to rethink that career decision."
Savannah shook her head. "I didn't know I needed to clear my personal business through you now. What's this about?"
David blew out a breath and scrubbed his hands over his face before answering. "This is about Jordan. I'm sure you know that Jacob has been raising him since Katie passed away."
Savannah nodded. "I was sorry to hear about that. You and Katie were always the best out of your family."
David nodded. "Thank you. I know that you don't like Jacob but... "
Savannah smirked. "That's putting it mildly David, and you know it."
He nodded once again. "I do. Look, we're trying to get Jordan on the straight and narrow. He's been off the rails since his mom passed, and living with Jacob hasn't made it any better. He thinks that his uncles being mayor and Deputy Chief of police gives him a free pass."
Savannah lifted a brow. "Doesn't it? Seems to be working out that way."
David shook his head. "I don't want it to be that way, Savannah." He sighed. "I heard about what happened last night at TM."
Savannah leaned forward in her seat. "That wasn't Kenny's fault, David. He was just taking up for Charlie."
David held up a hand. "I know. Nobody is blaming any of the Sons or the kids for what happened. When I had heard that he was going out with Charlie, I was relieved. She'd be good for him, Savannah. He needs someone to keep him grounded." He grinned at her. "You've done a good job raising Charlie. I wish we could say the same about Jordan."
Savannah shook her head. "He wasn't there with Charlie because he likes her, David. He used her to try to get an in with SAMCRO."
David sighed and rubbed a hand over his head before nodding. "I know, but... if we can get him to ask her out, would you let her go with him?"
Savannah chuckled and shook her head. "No, David. Absolutely not. Not after last night. He was only given a chance because of Juice, but he shot that all to hell." She stood up and leaned on the table. "If it was you trying to raise him, I'd say yes, but I won't do a goddamn thing to help out Jacob. I wouldn't give him a glass of water if he was on fucking fire and you know exactly why that is. The fact that you would even ask me to is downright insulting." She pointed at the door. "I think we're done talking now. If you'll drive me back, I really need to get to work."
