I made the reader tony and pepper's daughter if that's alright. I just felt like it worked better.
reader is also a child in this so everything is platonic. peter is basically like your older brother.
....
"Pep, it's just one night. He can totally handle it."
"Tony, we are not having this conversation again. I do not want to force Peter to watch (Y/N) for three hours."
"He'll be fine with it. He knows how to babysit and what to do if anything goes wrong. Right, kid?"
"Huh?"
Peter looked back from his position on the couch at Tony and Pepper, who were dressed all fancy on their way to some special event. Behind them was you, their shy 10 year-old daughter.
"You can totally watch (Y/N) while Pepper and I are out, right?" Tony asked.
"Uh, sure." Peter didn't know you too well since you don't come around that often, but you seem to take a liking to him.
"Tony, no," Pepper said before turning to Peter, "Peter, you don't have to do this. I'll call for a babysitter and—"
"No, no. I can do it," Peter said. He stood up from the couch he was lounging on. "I'm-I'm sure (Y/N) would prefer me than a complete stranger, right?" He pulled his face into one of those awkward smiles.
Tony looked at Pepper a certain way, as if to convince her to let Peter babysit you. Pepper only glared back.
But eventually she gave in.
"Fine," Pepper said, sighing. She put her hand on your back and gently asked, "Are you going to be alright with Peter watching you for a little while?"
You glanced at Peter for a moment, then nodded.
"Alright then. That settles it," Tony said, "We will be back in a few hours. Parker, don't have a party while we're gone. I don't want any drunk teenagers in my house."
"Tony," Pepper warned.
"Don't worry, Mr. Stark. I'll have everything under control," Peter said, his smile a straight line.
Your parents hugged you goodbye, promising to tuck you in bed, then left.
And now it was just you and Peter.
Peter plopped himself back onto the couch. "So, uh....what do you want to do?"
You just shrugged.
"Okay, uh....how about we play a game?"
At that, your eyes lit up. Playing games was your favorite thing to do, though you only ever played them with your father. Sometimes Natasha.
"What kind of game?" you asked, the first words you've said all evening.
Peter had to think for a moment. "How about hide and seek? I used to play that all the time with my aunt and uncle."
"Okay."
"Awesome. Now I'll count to ten and you go hide, okay?"
You nodded.
Peter closed his eyes and started counting.
You looked around the room for a hiding place.
....
"Eight, nine, ten! Ready or not, here I come!" Peter shouted.
