American summer vacation had just ended and it was the Monday morning before the first day of school. Andy's backpack was all packed up, it was just the boy that needed to get ready to go. His alarm clock sounded and young Andy whined, blinking his innocent eyes open and reaching over slowly to turn off the sound. Once he did, he sat up and stared at the floor for a moment, wondering why the school was important to play ice hockey or be in a band. The boy rubbed his eyes before jumping up, getting dressed before walking downstairs and into the kitchen.

It had been two weeks or so since Andy was forced in, and his uncle was used to his habits and likings already. Jack already made Andy his favourite breakfast by the time Andy had walked down; surprisingly, Jack had been up for a while his wife was asleep. He looked over at sleepy Andy, whose hair was still a mess, chuckling softly in a reassuring manner. "Good morning, sugar..." he stated softly, gently running his hands in the fluffy black mess Andy's hair was currently entangled in. "Did you sleep well? Your hair shows it."

Andy blinked innocently, emitting a soft purr-like noise as his hair was petted. "Yeah, yeah, I slept okay..." he stammered out, clearly too stupefied by his uncle's hands through his hair.

His uncle laughed and lifted the sleepy boy with ease, setting him down at the kitchen table. "Eat up, Andy. You don't want to be late to school."

Andy just nodded and began to eat his meal, then finishing getting ready for school. He looked over at Jack once he was done and his backpack was on, ready to go.

Jack chuckled softly, ruffing up Andy's hair a little more as a sign of reassurance before leading the boy down the blocks to school. Andy glimpsed around as they walked, taking in the different scenery than it was back in ex-home Cincinnati. He wasn't used to it yet, but it was where his first - and, most known - band would flourish in the future.

"You seem unusually quiet today, Andy. Is everything okay?"

Andy blinked, getting out of his trance and glancing up at Jack. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine. I just don't know anyone around here and I'm worried about it."

Jack considered what Andy said, knowing the feelings Andy was having from his past experiences. "I know, sugar, I do know how it is. Just don't let anyone take you down, I promise you'll be okay."

The young boy nodded again, feeling the sort of love. "Okay, Uncle Jack..."

The two approached Andy's new school and Jack kneeled down so they were at eye level. "I'll pick you up at three. Promise me you won't get involved in anything too absurd? Y'all are going through puberty at this age, it gets kind of weird sometimes. Or, maybe it was just me?"

Andy giggled softly and nodded, hugging his uncle happily. "I know, I know. I'll see you later, Uncle Jack!" He then trotted off into the school and grinned, looking around at the other pre-teens and teens there.

Inside, the adolescent sat down in the cafeteria and took out his sketchbook, continuing an artwork of his uncle and aunt together. He hummed a song by The Misfits and smiled brightly as the pre-school session went on, students coming in and waiting until school officially started for the day.

A young girl, probably about Andy's age, sat down next to him and beamed at him. "Hello!" she snickered, clearly up to no good.

Did this girl like him? Was she going to bully him? Andy didn't know, but he was going to play it cool. "Hello," he stated softly, glimpsing over at her with innocent blue optics.

The female's face turned a light pink, mesmerised by his eyes. "I know your uncle... Jack White, correct?"

Andy nodded a little bit, a little curious and suspicious as to what the girl was going to say about his guardian. His eyes narrowed as he responded, "Yes...?"

"If your uncle Jack was stuck on a horse, would you help him off?"

"Yeah..."

"Ew, GROSS! You would help your uncle jack off a horse?!"

Andy gasped silently, his face flushing a deep red from embarrassment. He was just fooled... by a girl! He shook his head and quickly tried to reassure, "N-No, not like that! I-I-I mean...!"

The girl laughed and set a hand on Andy's shoulder. "I'm just messing with you. I'm Ava, nice to meet you. What's your name?"

Andy smiled a little bit, feeling better. "I'm Andrew, but you can call me Andy. Nice to meet you, too."

Ava grinned and looked down at the drawing in Andy's lap. "Are you drawing your uncle? That's really talented. Who's the woman? She's very pretty."

Andy glanced down at his sketch before returning his eyes to Ava, "Oh, yeah, that's my uncle... and his wife. They're both really nice. I live with them and I never really knew why, but it's okay, they treat me as if they were my parents. You think this is talented? I don't think so, but I honestly appreciate the feedback."

Ava smiled softly, nodding her head a little. "Awh, I'm sure they really love you." She looked down at the sketchbook again and asked, "Can I see the other drawings in there?"

Andy approved and put the book in her lap, smiling a bit as she flipped through the pages. Many drawings of the members of bands Andy adored were on each page and each made Ava giggle or grin. Once Andy got the book back, he placed it back in his bag with the pencil he was using to draw his current work in progress and hummed softly. "Hey, I can tell that we are gonna be friends."

"Did you just reference your uncle's song?"

"Uh, yeah, I did, heheh!"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Yeah, sure."

"Do you eat nuts in bed?"

Andy laughed and shook his head. The bell rang and the two separated, school officially starting for the year, the young boy already making a new friend in the great new place.
