As Andy was left there by himself, he pulled out his phone and began to call his uncle. His voice was shaky, but as soon as the call connected, he stated softly, "Can you come pick me up...?"

Jack blinked as his nephew had said those words, and he stood up and nodded. "Yes, I will. Where are you? Tell me what's wrong."

"I-I'm down by Cody's, at that park." Andy took a deep breath before going on. "I'm just... I'm just sad..."

"Is Ava there, Andy?" Jack asked as he got into his car — yes, he got a new car since the accident that occurred years before — and began to drive to the location.

The boy took a deep breath. "She just left..." he admitted, sitting down on the ground as the moon came up and stars shined.

"Oh, Andy..." Jack began, approaching the park and parking his vehicle beside Andy in the lot. He got out and picked up his nephew, holding him close as Andy began to sob.

"I'm going to miss you guys..." Andy cried, shaking his head as he wrapped his arms around his uncle.

"You should do this for the greater good, Andrew. It's going to amazing. California is pretty cool, and I'm sure you'll find people who will make your band incredible. I believe in you, Andy."

"Thank you, Uncle Jack..." Andy replied, gently setting his feet on the ground and letting go of Jack. "Will you come to our shows when we come here on tour...?"

"Yes, yes, I will." Jack smiled in that same reassuring manner, pushing Andy's hair out of his face. "Where did Ava go...?"

"H-Home, I think..." the boy replied, taking another shaky breath and wiping his eyes.

"Do you truly love her still, Andy...?"

Andy took a moment. He loved her, but he wasn't sure if a long-distance relationship would work between them. "I do love her, Uncle..."

"Would that relationship last when y'all are across the country from one another?"

The 'emo' boy shrugged again. "I wouldn't like not seeing her face for so long... I wouldn't enjoy those phone calls that dread the distance... I wouldn't like it..."

"Then, maybe it's best if y'all were just friends." Jack took Andy's hand and gestured to his car, "Let's go get something to eat while we talk."

The two of them got into the car and Andy began to cry again, not wanting to split himself and Ava apart. "I-I want to be with her, though... I hate this..."

"I know how heartbreak feels, Andrew. It hurts, but you must get over it and focus on the future. Who knows how much of a better lover you could find in California?"

Andy nodded, lifting his head and looking at Jack. "I don't know... b-but she's perfect... her smile... her laugh..."

"Personality." Jack stopped at a red light and glanced over at his nephew. "She teases you too much. She also overreacts to anything and everything."

Andy thought for a moment, rubbing his eyes. "You're not wrong..." he replied softly.

"Come on now. Let's go get you a milkshake," Jack stated as he parked in the back of the fast food restaurant.

He got out of the car and Andy giggled softly, the boy getting out himself as the two walked inside of the restaurant.

It was finally July of 2008, and it was the day Andy was scheduled to leave Ohio for California. He wiped the tears forming in his eyes and looked at his uncle and Meg, smiling a little as he was indulged in a large hug.

"I'm going to miss you, Andy," Meg stated softly as she gently rubbed his ear and smiled. "You might be as big as your uncle and me, though, which would be spectacular."

"Thank you, Auntie..." Andy responded, glancing over at his uncle. He was still unsure why he called Meg his aunt anymore, but it was worth it for the respect. Andy sniffled softly and smiled even more, becoming the most emotional as he hugged his uncle individually. "I love you, Uncle Jack..." he whimpered, beginning to cry, just the way he did as he was picked up from that Westwood parking lot.

"I love you, too, my precious Andy. Never forget that." Jack gently pressed his lips to Andy's hairline, right where his bangs came down, and kept Andy in his arms for a moment. "Are you going to say goodbye to Ava before you go?"

Andy nodded. "Yes... I am."

Andy pulled his luggage with him as he approached the airport. He looked up at the skies of Ohio for a final time, taking an energetic breath before walking inside of the airport. Sitting at the bench was Ava, a leg crossed over the other as she tapped her fingers against the dominant leg anxiously.

"Ava!" Andy called out, speed-walking over to her and smiling a bit. She glanced up from her trance and gave a half-smile, unsure whether to be upset or happy.

"Hey, Andy," Ava only replied, hugging Andy gently. "I hope you have fun in California..."

"I hope so, too." Andy flashed his teeth in a bright smile, his eyes remaining teary from when he was at his home for the final time. "I'll always remember you, okay, Ava? You're still my friend... you'll always be my friend."

"Of course... you'll always be a friend of mine, too." Ava sniffled and glimpsed over at the doors to the plane to California. It was time to go. "You should go..." she began as she returned her look to him. "You don't want to miss your flight."

Andy nodded, grabbing the handle to his luggage again. "I'll see you... around?" he asked, smiling softly.

Ava couldn't help it; she grabbed Andy's shirt collar and pulled him in close, smashing her lips against his passionately. After a squeak from Andy's throat and a moment of kissing, Ava pulled away and caught her breath. "I'll see you around," she finally replied symbolically.

Andy panted softly, a single tear rolling down his cheek as he hugged her once more, beginning to walk away. "I will always love you..." he mouthed to himself before showing his ticket to the man at the exit door.

"Mr Biersack, enjoy your flight," the man stated before running a security check and letting Andy through. Andy nodded in response, gently boarding the plane with the stair-like walkway and watching his steps as he landed foot into the plane. It was like a whole new journey to him at that moment.

Andy situated himself into his seat and glanced out the window for a moment, just as the plane's entrance closed and the turbines could be heard. The view from the windows raised and the plane took off.

As the plane rose above the clouds and the sun shined more than he figured possible, Andy took a deep, confident breath.

It was a new beginning. A new hope. A whole new world.
