A/N: Hey! I finally found a faceclaim for Ava and I also added people to this in the cast, so check that out if you're on web mode! Also, this is pretty much just an Andy and Meg (White) chapter, more Jack is coming next chapter, so get ready for that!! This is lowkey the worst title for this part though, I couldn't think of anything else, ignore that.

The rest of the school day went by at a steady pace, and Andy was the victim of absolutely no bullies that day. That really was an accomplishment, for he was often browbeaten for the music he listened to and how he dressed at his other school before. He sighed in content as he followed his new friend after his last class, humming as they sat down on the front porch, right outside of the school's main entrance. Andy waited for his uncle to come and pick him up, taking out his sketchbook and pencil and continuing to draw as he talked with Ava.

"Hey, thanks for tolerating me, Ava, I really appreciate it because people don't usually talk to me. I'm considered an outsider, well, at least, I WAS considered an outsider back at my other school," Andy explained as he shaded the figure of Jack's wife skilfully, smiling as he did.

"Of course, Andy! You're really sweet and I'm so happy you're my friend." Ava watched the other draw as she leaned into him a little bit, showing her feelings for him in a sort of polite yet secretive manner.

Andy glanced over at her, blushing a little. "Awh, that's so kind of you to say." He closed his sketchbook after he finalised what he had done so far, smiling as he put the book and pen down beside him on the white bench.

The two talked more for a little bit until Ava's father came to pick her up. Her dad glared at Andy in a warning and intimidating manner, grabbing her by the arm and forcing her to follow him home. Andy frowned a little and packed up his things, looking around for his uncle.

Andy waited for a while until he saw Meg, his uncle's bandmate. He smiled a bit, figuring it was her that was going to pick him up, and trotted over to her with a bright smile. "Hi, Auntie Meg!" He was unsure why he really called Meg his aunt, but he decided to, to be polite.

Meg gave a little smile, gently taking Andy's hand into hers reassuringly. "Hi there, Andy. Uncle Jack got into a little situation with someone else, a-and he sent me to bring you back home."

Andy nodded a little, gazing up at Meg; he was 5'4" and Meg was about an inch or so taller, so he wasn't horribly shorter. "Can I go see him? I don't want to leave him. I miss him."

Meg couldn't help but feel upset and bad, shaking her head just a little. "I'm sorry, babyboy... I'm so sorry. He said to just take you home and look after you until he returns. I don't think he wants you to see what happened."

Andy nodded, following Meg back to his home. "Oh..." he only stated, looking down at the ground. "Did he tell you what happened?"

"Yeah..."

"Can you tell me?"

"No..."

Andy sighed, watching his feet as he walked. "It's okay. I'm just inquisitive now."

The two went back to the home and Andy went to the kitchen to find something to eat. He normally didn't eat as much as he was supposed to as a growing boy, but he ate more often when he was feeling down or upset; it was sort of something he did when he was down. Andy grabbed a package of trail mix and smiled brightly as he sat down at the kitchen table, opening his backpack and grabbing his binder. He pulled out a sheet of paper that was printed on in a form-like format, getting out a pen from his backpack's pocket and sighing softly. In his calligraphic handwriting, he answered every question about himself, humming softly as he filled out the form and ate his mix.

After finishing both the mix and form, he put everything away and cleaned up, then heading to his bedroom and sitting on his bed. His Motorola RAZR began to ring and he took it out, recognizing the number; it was Ava, who had given him her number and his was given to her. Andy's smile brightened, flipping the phone in the matter it's supposed to and giggling as it answered. "Hey, Ava!" he hummed, closing his eyes as he lay on his bed and began to talk to her.

The front door downstairs could be heard opening and Andy sat up, quickly wrapping up the conversation. "O-Okay, Ava, I'll see you tomorrow!" He blinked and disconnected and ran downstairs, seeing his uncle at the door. "U-Uncle Jack!"

Jack hugged Meg a little in a friendly manner and then picked up his nephew, hugging him tightly. "I'm okay, I'm okay. Everything's okay," he whispered as he rubbed the boy's back reassuringly.

Andy held onto Jack like a baby koala would do its mother, burying his face in his uncle's shoulder. "What happened...?" he asked in a weak voice, rubbing his head against Jack's neck in a manner that said to pet him.

Jack smiled weakly and gently ran a hand through Andy's silky hair as his other arm supported the boy up, sighing a little as he sat down on the arm of the red-and-black sofa and held his nephew close. "I'm alright, it's just about the car... don't worry about it, sugar."

Andy peeked up and over, blinking his innocent blue eyes before asking, "D-Did you get into a crash...?"

"If that's the easy way to put it, yes, yes, I did..." Jack kissed Andy's temple gently and reassuringly, still holding the boy close. "But, I'm okay, you don't have to worry. How was school?"

Andy bit his lip as he listened, smiling a little when he was asked about his day. "I guess it was alright... I made a friend and she's really kind. Her name is Ava. She's pretty, too..."

Jack chuckled a little, ruffling up Andy's hair as he sensed the boy calm down. "Really? Awh, that's sweet. Does she like you back?"

Andy giggled and thought. "Well, I mean, she leans into me a lot and compliments my drawings... she also teases me a lot, too."

"Hm... just don't get your heart broken, okay, sugar?"

"Of course, Uncle Jack. I won't." Andy smiled and hugged his uncle a bit. "I promise."

"Good boy." Jack smiled back. "Anyway... let's go out to eat, I don't want to fuss over the entire car situation right now. I'm sure you're hungry, too. Come on, let's go." He set the boy down on his feet on the floor, leading him outside and taking him on a walk to a small restaurant. It wouldn't be until later that Jack would deal with getting his vehicle back, it was just a time for him and Andy to wind down and relax, unneeding of stress... for now.
