ANDY'S POV
A while later back at home, I was sitting at the kitchen table with Uncle Jack, eating dinner. It was gross, but I showed appreciation nonetheless. I looked up at my uncle and smiled a little, giggling a little from both anxiety and happiness. "Hey, Uncle Jack!"
He seemed to be staring at his drink like he always did, but he snapped out of it and glimpsed over at me with a little smile. "What is it?"
"I asked Ava if she wanted to come over..."
"Yeah? And?"
I stopped for a moment, looking at my own glass of cherry soda. Now I saw why it was so addicting to look at. After a small moment, I looked at Uncle Jack nervously, "She said she's going to ask her dad if she could soon. Not the nice one, the mean one. I'm scared."
"Awh, my boy is becoming a man." Uncle Jack reached over and ruffled up my silky hair, chuckling as I let out a soft groan in defeat. He pulled his hand away after a moment and said, "I hope her father approves. I'm still shipping y'all in my mind."
I furrowed my eyebrows. "What the heck is 'shipping'?" I was confused again, the same emotion I feel when I see Cindy and her own clique looking at me.
"Basically..." Uncle Jack began, taking a sip of his drink before continuing, "It's when you pair two or more people, fictional characters or real people, and combine their names to make a couple name, or, ship name."
"That explains it!" I pound the table a little with my fist and grin. "My friends call me and Ava 'Avandy'! That's what that means!!"
"How did you not already figure, Andrew?" Uncle Jack laughed a little, shaking his head. "Well, go and play, it's Friday. Have fun."
"Okay, dyadʹko..." I stated softly, getting up and trotting up to my room. Oh, and, dyadʹko translates to uncle from Ukrainian. I call him this just to trip him up a little. My friend taught me that since his other friend is from Ukraine. Interesting.
I entered my room and closed the door behind myself, glancing over to see the Nikki Sixx poster hanging on it. I wanted to be Nikki Sixx—I wanted to be Andy Sixx. I giggled softly and picked up my sparkly black-and-gold guitar. I had gotten this for my birthday and Christmas—it counted as both occasions' gifts because my birthday is the day after Christmas—from Uncle Jack, and I loved every bit of it. I gently tuned it using the pegs and plugged it into its amplifier, placing the cheetah-patterned strap over my arm and on my shoulder before beginning to play. I started with 'Die, Die, My Darling' by the Misfits first, singing the lyrics happily as I rocked on. I jumped on my bed and started headbanging roughly, giggling softly as I played on and all.
There was a knock on my window, which caused me to stop playing and leap off my bed, holding my guitar by its neck and opening my window. "Hello?"
It was Ava! She chuckled softly, "My dad said 'yes', so now I'm here. Whatcha playing?"
I gulped, "I-I don't know if my uncle is ready..."
"Who cares?" She climbed in through the window and looked around at the posters and items in my room.
"Wait..." I took off the strap and looked at Ava curiously. "H-How do you know where I live?"
"I have my ways," Ava giggled, sitting down on my bed and looking at me mischievously.
Oh, frick! She was giving that look... I crossed my legs a little, whimpering softly as I set my guitar down. Now, when I'm flustered, I usually get all shy and small like how I am now. By this little trait of mine, I quickly dashed down the stairs with tears building up in my eyes. "U-Uncle Jack...?!"
Uncle Jack was sitting on the large sofa, watching television when I came down. He pulled his gaze away from the TV and looked at me with a small concern in his eyes. "What is it, Andrew?"
I just lost it at that point. I fell to my knees and began to sob, completely unsure what to do. I shook my head a little, covering my face with my hands, feeling scared to tell my uncle what had just happened.
Uncle Jack was now deeply concerned. "Andy..." he said in some sort of growl-like tone, sending shivers down my spine as he began to walk up the stairs. I can tell Ava was getting ready to hide, for I could hear her footsteps creak the carpeted wooden floors.
I got up and zipped up the stairs, pushing Uncle Jack in a gentle yet forceful way, if that makes any sense. I heard him make a soft little grunt noise, but I didn't really care, I just sniffled and whimpered as I ran into my room and covered Ava with my Batman blanket. It wasn't much, but it was worth a shot.
Uncle Jack came up the stairs eventually and walked into my room, raising an eyebrow at the sight of me sitting on the bed next to a shaking bulge of covers moving from Ava's soft giggles. "What's under your blanket?" my uncle asked, causing me to gulp.
"U-Uh..." I started, trying to come up with an excuse. It was too late, though, for my uncle yanked the covers away, revealing Ava. Ava burst into laughter, which caused me to whimper softly and shake from fear.
"Awe, look. My boy has a girl in his bed," Uncle Jack joked, crossing his arms a little as a smile spread across his lips. I sighed softly, looking at Ava as she began to crack up.
"It's a pleasure to finally really meet you, Mr White," Ava stated softly, glancing up at my uncle, recognising the male. I was glad she was being polite other than giving the bratty attitude she often gives me.
"Ah! You do know me," Uncle Jack chuckled, grinning. "Andy talks about you a lot. Would you like to stay over tonight?"
I choked on my own spit, if that's even possible, blushing intensely as I glimpsed back at Ava. I hoped she did say 'yes', though, but it was okay if she didn't.
Ava thought for a moment, but then nodded. "Uh-huh, I definitely would love to! And, yes, of course I know you. You're Jack White, 'Seven Nation Army' guy."
Uncle Jack chuckled softly, "Ah, I get it." He began to head for the door, but just as he was about to leave, he turned around to look at us one final time, "Promise me you won't do anything... bad?"
I groaned, my face heating up again. "Uncle Jaaaaaaaaaack!"
Uncle Jack laughed, "I'm just playing with y'all. Have fun... not THAT kind of fun," before he left.
I groaned a little, relaxing into the bed. I saw Ava staring at me with those devious eyes and I blushed still. "What's up?"
"Nothing, you're just looking good," Ava giggled, caressing my cheek with her delicate hand. She stood up and stretched a little, "What do you wanna do?"
I shrugged, sitting up again after I registered what Ava had just did with her hand in my mind. "Let's find out!" I replied with probably the largest smile I've ever smiled.
{{I'm actually going to bed lmao gn}}
