The panic written on the members of the orchestra's faces was almost comical when we told them the news. I mean I don't blame them. I would be panicking too if I had to play for the royals with only one week to prepare. I'm panicking and I don't even have to perform.

"I know, I know, it's very short notice but this is the chance of a lifetime for you. You'd be the only students in the entire nation that can say you've played at a royal wedding," Jay says, attempting to calm the students down.

"But that's not enough time!"
"We will never be ready."
"Why does it have to be something entirely new?"
"And why does the red-head have to be here?"

The practice hall turns into an uproar of worried remarked. My ears perk up to the one about "the red-head" being here, but I try to not let it bother me.

"Okay, okay, everybody just calm down. This will all turn out fine," I say.

My words do nothing but send the group into another uproar.

I collapse into a chair as the last student walks out the door. That practice took over three hours and I'm exhausted

"Well that was definitely an experience," Jay says with a chuckle.

"You can say that again."

"How bout you and I get some dinner together to celebrate us working together, and it can be at my place so it's more relaxed," Jay offers.

I look at him and don't respond right away. Something about the way he's asking me sounds like he's asking me out not trying to get together as colleagues, but I could also be overthinking it.

"Okay," I say as I stand up.
