The only sound that can be heard is the echo of the gunshot as Yunha's body falls to the floor, everyone's eyes wide as they try and process what just happened.
CJ feels as if a weight has been lifted from her chest as she drops the gun and glares down at the still corpse of the girl that had ruined everything for her, a smile coming onto her face as she turns towards the door.
The smile drops as soon as she sees Jimin standing there though, the short-lived happiness she had felt withering away like a wilting flower. So many emotions are shining in his beautiful eyes, it too much for her to handle.
"Wait!" He yells after her as she pushes her way past him and starts jogging up the stairs, him desperate to talk to her now that he has the chance. He knows that this may be the only time that he will be in the same room as her again, his footsteps hurried as he tries to catch up with her.
CJ doesn't know what to do. She was trying to forget about what happened, it harder now that Jimin is actually here. She can hear him trying to catch up with her, her movements getting faster as she barges into the room where they keep all of their supplies.
She frantically makes a line before tearing up an old piece of paper that was just laying around, using it to snort the white powder. It burns more than it usually does when it goes in, the mind-numbing pain causing tears to form in her eyes as the paper falls out of her hands and into the floor.
Jimin hears her hiss in pain, him stopping in his tracks and walking back to the room that he had almost passed up while he was searching for her. He gently pushes the door open, frowning when he sees the open bag of cocaine on the table in front of her as she wipes at her eyes.
"CJ, you need to stop this" he says quietly, closing the door behind him. She scoffs in disbelief, turning around to face him with her hands on her hips.
"Who the fuck are you to tell me what to do?" she spits, anger making her voice waved slightly. His eyes soften when he sees the fragile state that she is in, taking a timid step forward.
"Baby, you're hurting yourself."
"I'm not!" She all but yells, growing defensive as he takes another step forward.
He sighs, "your nose is bleeding."
She stops, her eyes wide as she stares at him. Her hand is shaking uncontrollably as she brings it up to her nose, gently pressing on the nostril that she had been using to take in the white powder earlier. Jimin is right, her eyes widening more when she looks at the tip of her finger. It isn't a lot of blood, but it's there, a reminder that she has to be careful or else there might be a repeat of what happened last year when she almost overdosed and died.
"W-what's it to you?" she asks defensively, not as angry as before. She looks more hurt than anything now, her arms wrapping around her body as he moves closer to where she is standing.
"I'm so sorry" he whispers breathily, cupping her warm cheeks with his hands. She can't help but break at his warm touch, her walls crashing down all over again as she tries to hold back the sob that threatens to escape her. He can feel her tears on his fingertips as he presses his forehead against hers, him missing her touch.
"I didn't mean it" he continues. "I didn't mean a word I said. I was feeling insecure and lashed out at you when I should have just laughed at how pathetic Justin was acting. You are the best thing that has happened to me in a long time, and I can't believe I screwed it up so bad. The fact that I hurt you makes me hate myself Chloe. You have no idea how sorry I am."
"I miss you so fucking much" he mumbles against her lips before leaning forward and connecting them.
CJ doesn't know what to feel anymore. She wants to push him away but she can't. She missed him too. She missed his touch and the way he had made her feel safe when she was in his arms. She misses how cold and intimidating he had seemed to be before he had opened up to her. She misses everything about him, which is precisely why she kisses him back.
Their lips move against each other's feverishly, it as if they are both scared that the other will disappear if they don't. Jimin's body presses against hers as he backs them up towards the table, a bunch of bags falling off when they bump into it. His hands are still holding onto her face as hers get tangled in his soft hair, a groan leaving her mouth as she realizes just how much she had missed the feeling of his lips on hers.
She is the one to break away first though, their chests heaving as she puts her hands on his chest. Jimin licks his lips and can taste the salty tang of her tears, his eyes still closed as his thumbs softly stroke her cheeks.
"Give me time" she pants breathlessly, her eyebrows creased. "What you said really hurt Jimin."
"I know" he mumbles back, pulling away to stare at her face.
"I'll be...." he clears his throat as a swell of emotion threatens to choke him up, him batting his eyes against the tears that he refuses to let fall. "I'll be waiting for you."
Then he leaves, his heart heavy as he walks out of the door and away from the girl that he has fallen for. He knows that she said that she needs time, but he can't help but feel as if he has already lost her.
