There once was a boy who loved a girl. He showered her in diamonds and rose petals. He promised to take her to the moon. He took her to elegant events, where they sipped champagne and waltzed. He wanted to give her the world, but his gifts were not enough for the girl. No, she wanted something more. She wanted galaxies, but he couldn't give her one.
One day, the girl met another boy. He was shy and awkward, yet endlessly endearing to the girl. He gave her sunsets, rainbows, and starlight. When she was with him, she felt like the universe was in the palm of her hand. He made her feel whole. She fell in love with him. And he fell right back. When they gazed into each other's eyes, the entire galaxy swooned.
The girl's past lover found out about this, and felt angry. He felt furious; he felt hurt. And then he felt sad. He realized that he would never be enough for the girl, and she could never love him as he had loved her. So he decided to move on. There was no use pining after someone you could never have. He'd never forget her, though. For she taught him some very important lessons in a course that wasn't taught in school:
Love.
