"Damn it's hot in this bitch I said." I tried to roll over, but I felt something hard against me. I looked back and saw a hard body. I couldn't believe that I woke up next to another man. I need to stop drinking.
I heard him snoring and I figured that this was the perfect time to leave and get home. I heard my phone vibrating and I slipped out of bed to look for it.
Once I saw that it was my mother calling I didn't bother to answer it. She was just probably mad because I didn't come home last night. I know that Dallas was good with her, so I wasn't worried.
As I was gathering my clothes around the room, I looked to see who was in the bed with me. I laughed when I realized that it was big Lez, the bouncer from the club. At least it wasn't a stranger like the last time.
I saw his wallet on the dresser and I thought to myself that he could give me something for this pussy I gave him. I took forty dollars from his wallet and left out as quietly as I could.
I got to stop drinking.
I kept looking at my phone and seeing my mom calling me back to back. I swear she acted like she had a life or something.
I walked in my mother's house and I saw Dallas sitting on the floor in front of the TV playing his game.
"Hey man, did you eat yet?" I said. Once he saw me he ran over and hugged my waist. Looking at him always made my day brighter.
"Mommy I missed you. Nana gave me some sausage and eggs. Auntie Ashley said I can go over her house after she finish with Nana's hair.
"OK man. Go sit down and play your game and be a good boy, ok?" I said and kissed his head.
Walking upstairs, I could hear my mother and sister talking. I knew the conversation was about me. It seems like all Ashley could talk about was me and my business. I tiptoed closer to the door, so they wouldn't know I was there listening.
"Mom, you have to stop letting Kori get away with leaving Dallas with you. You are in no shape to be running after him all the time. Mom you are sick, and you need to rest. You raised your kids and now you need to have a life of your own." I heard Ashley say. I hated her, and I wished she would mind her own business.
"I know that Ash, but if I don't watch Dallas when she leaves than who is going to watch him." My mother said.
"His daddy mom. Dallas has a father who wants to see him, spend time with him but can't. Kori is so evil because he finally found out what kind of person she really is, and he left her. Mom, don't you see that she is the reason Dallas don't spend time with his father?"
"Don't say that Ash. Kori says that."
"Mommy, Kori is a liar. She lies all the time and you don't see that. She is lazy and doesn't want to work. She lays up and spends the money that Houston pays for child support. Mom stop believing everything that she says."
I couldn't take hearing anything else anymore, so I was going to make sure that my presence was known.
"Well it's nice to know that if no one has my back my family does." I said standing in the doorway with my arms folded.
"Yea, well it's nice to know that now you are home to take care of your own child for once huh?" Ashley said folding her arms.
"Stop it you two. Kori, where have you been? I have been calling you all night. Look I am tired, and I can't keep watching Dallas all types of night. I am not a live-in babysitter." She said standing up.
I guess she was feeling dizzy and almost fainted. My sister caught her and sat her down on the bed.
"Mom, you have to relax and take it easy. Kori see what our mother has to go through. You need help with Dallas? Ok, well how about you get his father's help and let him keep his son sometimes. You are so freaking bitter you don't realize that you are doing more harm to your son than you are to Houston." She said sitting on her high horse.
"Look, you don't know what you are talking about. You think you know everything, but you don't. I have gone to Houston to ask for help but he's playing house with that bitch and her stupid kids and don't have time for my son. I am all he has and all he needs." I said and walked away.
I was sick and tired of everyone and their opinions. I know what's best for my son and what's best for him is me. I heard my phone ringing and I looked at it to see that it was Brandi. I also saw that I had quite a few text messages. I figured I'd call Brandi back first. If she was calling I know that she had some big gossip.
"Hey bitch why is you blowing up my phone?" I said laying across my bed.
"I kept blowing up your phone making sure that you weren't somewhere hanging from a tree or you blew your brains out." She said laughing.
I was starting to think that this girl had lost her damn mind.
"What in the hell are you talking B? Are you smoking that shit your daddy is smoking?" I said.
"Oh, so you want to be funny bitch huh? You think having a crackhead as a father is funny?
Well excuse the fuck out of me for caring about the fact your baby daddy is getting married on your bitch ass. Fuck you." She said and hung up.
I had to sit up because I know that she didn't say what I think that she just said. I logged into my Facebook page and went to Houston's page. He blocked me from it but me, being smart as I was, I made a fake profile and befriended him. Stupid ass probably just liked the profile pic which was of a big booty girl.
Once his page popped up, I couldn't see anything on the page because everything went red. I looked at his page in disbelief.
I can't believe that on his Facebook page he actually had the nerve to announce his engagement to that big bitch.
I screamed from the top of my lungs and threw my phone across the room.
I looked up, when my door flew open, and my mother rushed in following my sister and my son.
"What is all that yelling for Kori? Are you alright?" Mother asked me.
"Yea! Are you alright Kori?" Ashley said with a smirk on her face.
"What the fuck are you smiling for you stupid bitch? I bet you think this shit is funny huh?" I said getting angrier.
My mother, looking between the two of us, wondering what we were talking about.
"What is your problem Kori? What has gotten into you?" My mother said.
"I bet she saw on Facebook that Houston has found him a good woman and is now getting married." Ashley said with a smile on her face.
I was done playing nice with her. I was ready to fight, and she was on my list.
"Fuck you!" I screamed and lunged towards her. I guess I must have underestimated her because I was not ready for the punch in the face she gave me.
"Oh, come on bitch. I've been waiting on this for a long time." She said. I was sitting there holding my face.
"I can't believe that you hit her Ashley. That is your sister." My mother came to my rescue.
"Well I did mama and if she comes at me again I will do it again. I don't know what chick you are used to fighting but remember, I am that bitch that will bust your ass. Now come on Dallas. Auntie is going to take you home with her." She said and grabbed my son's hand.
I wanted to object but I didn't want to be hurt again. Once my mother left and I was in the room alone, I picked up my phone and looked at the picture of Houston and that bitch. They even had the nerve to have a picture taken with my son as well.
Over my dead body will they be a family with my son and leave me out of it. I was now on a mission full of revenge. How dare he think he could go out there and be happy. One thing is for sure I will do any and everything in my power to make sure that his life is a living hell.
By any means necessary.
