Watching the police lead Houston away in handcuffs made me laugh. I couldn't believe my plan actually worked.

"I want my daddy." Dallas ass kept saying.

I put him down and was getting pissed.

"Dallas get your ass upstairs and watch TV. You better not come out that room unless you want your ass beat." I said, and he ran upstairs.

I knew me having this black eye was going to come in handy. It hurts like hell but, as of now, it was well worth it.

What he didn't know is that I got into a fight with some chick that said I was fucking with her man. I honestly don't remember who her man was but more than likely I was. But whatever, she should do what she needs to do to keep her man happy then he wouldn't be fucking me.

I heard the door opening and heard my mom and sister walking in laughing.

"What's wrong nana's baby? Why are you crying huh?" I heard my mom ask Dallas.

"Daddy went with the police." He said.

"What happened Dallas?" Ashley's nosey ass asked.

"He hit mommy and they took him away." He cried.

I just rolled my eyes because I knew that the bullshit was about to come.

"He what? Kori what the hell is this baby talking about. Where are you?" Mom yelled.

I put my game face on and slowly walked out the bathroom towards them.

I saw my mom's hands go over her mouth and she just stood there.

"Damn girl, your shit all fucked up." Ashley said laughing.

Walking up towards me my mom grabbed my face examining my eye.

"Kori, what happened. Did Houston really do this to you?" She asked me.

I smacked my lips, "Who else do you think did this mom. Dallas told you he got arrested for hitting me.

"I can't believe this. Houston, I didn't think he could ever do this. I hope you press charges on him." She said still looking at my eyes.

"Mama, you really can't believe that Houston did this to this girl. Mama that man would never hit her, and you know it. Even after all the shit she has done, he didn't beat her ass and I would have but come on mama." Ashley said.

"I bet you wouldn't never think that he could do anything wrong. You are supposed to be my sister and you are supposed to be on my fucking side." I yelled at her getting mad.

"You said it best sweetheart. I am YOUR sister and I know you. I know that you will lie to get out of trouble and you are so fucking bitter because that man has a new woman that you would do anything to get back at him. So, if you want to know the truth little sister, I think that you are a big, fat liar." She said with her arms crossed.

"You know what Ashley, fuck you. You don't know shit." I said and pushed my mom's hand away from my face.

"Ashley and Kori, I wish you two would get along. Ashley, this is your sister and you should be on her side." Mama said trying to keep the peace.

"Oh, give me a break mama. You always believe everything this girl says. This girl can tell you that the sun is really blue and you looking right at the sun and know it's yellow but because little Kori says that it's blue you believe her. When are you going to stop and wake the hell up and realize that she is a liar. God! Wake up mama." It was my turn to have a smile on my face. Ashley hated that mama always had my back.

"Listen Ashley, I know my children and I love you both. We need to be there for Kori and help her through this. I know you think I treat her better, but I am helping her because she needs me." Mama said.

"Really mama. This girl doesn't work, and then she lies. You are stuck raising her child because she is too busy chasing dick to do it herself. You know what? I am going home. I can't deal with this shit any longer. One day Kori, you are going to go too far, and you are going to regret everything you have done." She grabbed her shit and left slamming the door behind her.

I just sat there smiling. I loved getting under her skin. Serves her right.

"Baby, I hope you are going to press charges on Houston. He can't think that hitting a woman is going to fly." She said.

"I just want this to be over. Thank you, mama, for having my back. I am going to lay down. I have a headache." I told her.

"Go ahead and lay down. I'll keep an eye on Dallas and cook dinner." She said looking at me with sympathy eyes.

"Thanks mama." I said and went into my room.

I swear I should have been an actress.
