The One

"He did what?!" Blake and Jessica came over to talk to me and decide on what to wear to the party.
"Where is he? I'm going to kill him with he my bare hands!" Blake said Jessica wasn't here she went to use the bathroom.
"It's just okay I'm getting rid of him today my father and mother agreed and I'm telling him today what he did was not okay. He's, he's, he's a bastard! And I hate him right now so I'm not okay with what he did." I said it has been a two days and I finally get to get rid of Luke I didn't like him for what he did. 
"Princess Ruby Mister Luke has been attack by Miss Jessica!" A guard came out yelling to us.
"Oh no!" I said I ran inside and found Luke on the ground and Jessica fighting the guards to let her go.
"You bitch! I'm going to kill you once I get these guys off me!" She yelled
"Stop it now!" I yelled they all stopped including Jessica.
"Jessica go to the garden with Blake, guards watch them and get a rag for Luke's bloody nose, Luke you are going home today once you get taken care and packed your going straight home." I said everyone did what they needed and now it was only two boys now. I headed back to the garden to get Blake and Jessica ready for the party tonight.
"Well he deserve it." Jessica explain
"I know he did but you can't just do that your royalty and when your royalty you have to set a good reputation through better or worse even when you want to punch a guy." I said Blake and Jessica laughed at the end but understood what I meant.
"Should I wear the blue dress that's puffy at the bottom or the dark purple with a slit on the side?" Jessica asked
"How about the blue dress and we can add some jewels to your hair." I suggested she agreed and went to the dressing room.
"Okay I have three. A crimson that goes to my knees, a blood red that puffy at the bottom, and white that fades into a black." She laid them on the bed.
"What about...the crimson I think you look pretty in that color." I said
"Okay pick a dress Ruby your grandma likes the color navy blue on you." She suggested the only reason my grandma likes navy blue is because I wore that at my uncle wedding when I was a baby.
"Okay we will see." I looked through my closet and saw a bag around one of the dresses. I pulled it out and unzip it. It was a navy blue dress that went to my knees and then it fell a couple of inches in the back, it had it going around my neck. And it was laced but cover my chest then became laced.
"Oh that looks pretty Ruby you should where it!" Blake said she was in her dress, shoes, makeup, and crown.
"You look beautiful Blake." I said she turned red.
"Ruby did you find a dress? This dress is kind of tight so I want to get the party over with." Jessica walked out in the same way Blake did.
"Ya I just have to get ready." They called out the people to get me ready and I thought that would be easy but I think a little of me died in there.
"O....M...G! You look like a angel Ruby the dress was made for you!" Blake was looking all around me and admire my dress with my crown. Three crown had Ruby's dangling from the center of it.
"Thank you."
"And the gloves they are perfect!" She said touching my navy blue gloves that went to my elbow.
"All you look so pretty Ruby! If any man try's to do anything funny with you I'm going to bet them up." Jessica smash her fist into her palm to make her point. I laughed a little of how protect my friends can be and what they would do for me.
"Princess Ruby, Blake, and Jessica. We are heading downstairs and the guest will be here shortly. Get your thing Princess Jessica stand up straight and fix that pin. Princess Blake you need to straighten your dress and make sure none of your makeup is mess up." Caroline said she the head of staff and the one that takes car of a lot of things in the castle.
"Princess Ruby come with me your grandparents want to meet with you." She took me to the meeting room. What was I going to say? Hey I missed you but I'm still mad that you haven't visited seen I was a baby. What did they look like? Did grandma and grandpa still have their hair color? Did they even actually want to come? Or did they want me to announce the future king? Whatever it was it wasn't going to be good. We got there and she left me alone with two guards, two guards! What if something goes wrong? I put on my brave face and walked in I saw a women in a green flowing dress and I guy in a black suit. They turned around and I saw what I always remember them as were. She had blue eyes, wrinkles, and gray hair. He had brown eyes, gray hair, and wrinkles.
"Sweetie!" She said she walked up to me and kiss both sides of my face. And grandpa hugged me.
"It's so great to see you how long has it been 10, 11, 12-"
"Sixteen year grandfather." I said he looked disappointed that I actually knew how long it has been.
"Well time to make things right. How have you been sweetie?" She asked
"Good I have been getting a's and b's. I also practice my instruments over the time and... I'm about find my future husband and future king."
"Well about that...are you going to announce who's the lucky winner tonight?" That is the answer to my worries.
"No not tonight sorry to disappoint you but it's hard to make a decision like this."
"Well we know you will make the right choice but... Stefan comes the second richest family and he's a sweet boy from what we see and hear. And well...Axel comes from this country and doesn't have any relationship with anyone useful. Why not just marry Stefan he's parents are nice to and Ruby Williams doesn't sound to bad better than Ruby River-" I stopped my grandmother before she could say it.
"You are not making any choices for me. I am old enough to know what I want instead of two people I barely know telling me what to do. You haven't seen what I see, you haven't done what I done, you haven't learn anything about me! The last time I saw you I was so little and barely able to talk. Now you show up expecting me to do what you want me to do! I am sorry to tell you this in a rude way but you need to hear this now. Now I am going to celebrate and have a good time and make my guest feel great and have a good time. You may stay or you may forget about this and have a good time as well excuse and join us." I walked to the doors and didn't look back they didn't have any right to disrespect Axel or say what I should do. I realize half way up that I was crying.
"Damn" I try to wipe them away but it smear on my glove.
"Looks like someone didn't have a good time." I looked up to see Axel walking my way.
"Sorry you have to see me lik-" he wrapped me in his arms knowing I needed a hug. I cried into his chest for a little bit until I knew that my makeup was everywhere and his suit was going to have tear stains.
"Sorry I shouldn't be crying right now. Why s aren't you up there stairs in the ball room?" I asked he shrugged .
"There weren't many people I know so I went for a walk."
"Okay well...I better fix a few things I bet I look like a mess."
"No you look beautiful no matter what."
"Thanks I'll see you in a little bit." I said and ran off, I headed back to the ball room and saw the guests. I looked around to see if Axel was around. I couldn't find him anywhere.
"So did you talk to the grandparents?" I saw uncle Sebastian.
"Ya it didn't go so well."
"Well there a bunch of idiots anyways. They didn't come when Thomas was born and they didn't come to a lot of things."
"Ya the last time I saw them I was like one."
"You were about to turn two but that was the last time you saw them though." He admitted we looked around until I saw the grandparents.
"Hey are they leaving?" I asked one of the butlers he nodded his head yes.
"Damn you got them mad there leaving . Oh waiter over here." A waiter came over with two glasses of wine.
"Thank you and here you go calm your nerves down." I took the glass and took a sip.
"Yum~ I think they got the 1897 bottle out ai remember this one." He look impress and kept drinking.
"Hey!" Axel rapped my shoulder.
"Hello I thought you would never show up"
"Hey Mister how old are you?" My uncle asked but he already knew.
"18 sir...Ruby is your uncle drunk?" He whisper in my ear.
"I think so...Sebastian are you drunk?" I asked
"I um...what no totally not" He wiggle around a little.
"No, no let's get you upstairs and into your bedroom."
"Okay." He grabbed my shoulder and he waddle up and down.
"There you are good night." I said and closed the door.
"Let me guess his the kind that asked a lot of questions when he's drunk?" Axel smirk which that made me smirk.
"Ya he asked me if I had it yet when I was only 15 it was weird~." I said he laughed a little
"So want to hang out for a little bit?"
"Sure" I grabbed his arm and we headed down the hallway.
"So what book have you been reading I saw you go I tot he library?" I asked
"How did you know?"
"I was walking around and saw a book in your bag."
"Oh you mean my book bag ya. I like to carry it around when I head outside."
"So want to head to the library?"
"Sure why not I already finish one of them."
"Which one?"
"Red like blood it's about this girl and her father wen your one night and never return. But she found blood all over her house and she has visions of what happen. And then solves it at the end."
"That's sounds familiar." I said
"Ya So what book are you reading?"
"I well your going to think it's silly." He looked over to me and smiled.
"Nothing can be funny if it's from you."
"Thanks well...it's about this girl Starlight she has the choice of two men they are both jealous of each other. She loves them equally and she can't pick so she does a test to see what they both feel about her. Oscar fails because he wanted the crown at the end and not her love. Micheal won because he didn't want the crown at the beginning he wanted her."
"Wow that's...intense." I open the doors to the library and walked in.
"Don't tell anybody but...I hid some of my favorite books under the couch." I said I pulled the sofa up and got a book out.
"The love story of two differences intersecting." He said
"What about I read it to you?" He asked
"Your going to laugh at it."
"Well set down and we well see." I sat down next to him and laid my head on his shoulder and he laid his head on my head.
"I sat down at my window waiting for my love to return. I want to be with him but father doesn't approve of him. I just want to be understood by the one person that I feel connect to He makes me feel like a normal girl. Like I'm not actually royalty I just want to feel like that all the time." He keep going but I drifted into a sleep on his shoulder.

"Ruby we need to get to our rooms." I woke up to Axel lifting me up. I finally rapped my arms around his neck and let him take me to my room. He carry me like I weighed nothing.
"Here we go." He laid me down on my bed and was about to leave whenever I pulled him into the bed with me.
"Stay please I don't want you to leave." I said he settle back and cuddle me in his arms.
"Wake up!" Axel woke me up once again.
"What is it?"
"You need to get dress!"
"What!?" I look down to see I was dress in my clothes.
"I thought you were saying I was naked! I'll be back." I ran to the bathroom to shower, get dress, and walked out.
"Well what do you need?" I asked
"Um you actually have a guest at your door." He said
I walked to the door and found Caroline there.
"Princess Ruby we need you downstairs." She took off and I followed once we got there, there was newsmen around the whole area with cameras.
"Today is the finally choice for Princess Ruby and here she is." I stepped on the stage and went to the microphone.
"I have decided for the future king to be...Axel Rivermen to be your future king." I said shocks went around questions started to fly and the fights began.

"I'm so sorry Stefan you were great and amazing I sorry." I said he nodded along.
"It's really okay Ruby I know you mean well and well Jessica and me hit it off so there might be something there."
"Oh thank goodness I thought you were going to be mad."
"No,no your amazing for understanding so I guess I'll be off then." He said I hugged him before he went.
"Bye"
"Bye" I stood back and watch as the carriage took off. I felt a hand rest on my shoulder and I put my hand over it. I realize that I was going to be Ruby Rivermen sometime soon now and that I was going to have a wedding.
