The next day, Lina and Katherine were sent on a supply run or as Damon called it- a blood drive. Having been more than several miles away from the nearest hospital, the two Petrova women had to haul ass to Atlanta. Usually they would save their energy, but the the two really wanted to get this over with. The men decided that if they were not 'home' by nightfall, they would come after them.
Arriving at the large hospital was a breeze, but navigating it would be a bit harder. Lina's supernatural hearing helped her determine that the hospital was filled with walkers. "Mom, there are a lot of them in there. " She informed her mother, even though she knew her mom could very well hear them. The girl was clearly worried, even if the virus didn't kill vampires the way it killed humans... Or so she thought.
"We'll be fine, I promise." Katherine reassured her before taking off into the hospital. The task of finding the blood proved to be difficult, especially when you had to bob and weave through the rotting corpses of the walking dead. Though Lina found herself remembering that she herself wasn't too different from the corpses that she walked among. Though she was technically still a person, she was dead. She fed on the blood of humans and occasionally animals.
Lina followed her mother into the dark room. The only traces of light coming from the window, the blinds were covered in blood. "Looks like a crime scene." She whispered as she opened the obviously warm fridge that usually stored large quantities of blood bags.
The two's scavenger hunt was interrupted by the ringing sounds of gunshots being fired down the street. Lina's head shot up in alarm as she turned to her mother. "You stay here and finish up, I'll go check it out." She prompted before taking off.
It didn't take to long for the young heretic to find the source of the noise. Down a practically deserted alleyway, stood a Korean man with a red baseball cap and a rather attractive yet raggedy man with a crossbow. The two seemed to be in a one sided gun fight with a group of men. Pulling out her gun, Lina began to shoot at the enemy from the cover of a nasty dumpster. She honestly felt a sense of pride as she shot a man in his left ass cheek.
Her pride didn't last long when a black vehicle pulled up and snatched the Korean man, before driving off. "Son of a bitch." Lina cussed as she stepped out from behind the dumpster.
This caused the remaining man to turn around and point his crossbow at her. "Who the hell are you?" He demanded.
Stepping forward with her hands in the air as a sign of surrender, she smiled. "Hi, I'm Lina." She introduced before adding her usual sassy remark, "Ya know, your knight in shining Armour."
This caused the man to scoff as he lowered his crossbow. "Yeah, whatever." He grumbled before gruffly turning to the oncoming footsteps that stampeded from around the corner. The two men stopped upon arriving at the scene. One was dressed in a sheriff's uniform, the other was a tall African american man.
Lina's grin grew as she waved at the men. "Hello Sheriff Woody, his accomplice." She greeted them awkwardly before stepping forward. "I'm Nikolina, Nikolina Petrova."
"Pleasure to meet you, I'm Rick Grimes." The Sheriff introduced himself before pointing to the two men respectively. "That's T-Dog and That's Daryl. "
"So THAT's the crossbow cuties name!"
