We all went to the center. You'll see, the house where we live is in the middle of the forest because my parents hate society and the commoners so they bought a big house far away from all that hustle. To get to town you either walk ten minutes to a bus stop and go on a twenty minute bus ride or take the car on a 15 minute ride. So everytime someone needs to go to the center we all join in and use the oportunity to do what we can't do in the middle of nowhere like shopping or observing cars.
Our first stop was the grocery store. Mommy gave me a list of things I had to find while she went to look for other things.
"I'll go with Elio, he might need help carrying some of these things", Oliver told my mommy.
"You don't need to, I'll be fine", oh! but I did want him to come with me.
"No, Elio, I think you will need help. You won't be able to carry the twenty-five kilos of pasta bag by yourself along with the rest of the things", Mommy said. "Oliver, if you don't mind helping him, I'm sure he'll need some extra hands". And so, we went on our scavenge for our groceries in the supermarket.
We were in the sauce isle looking for tomato sauce to spread on the bases of our pizzas. I had grabbed a bunch of cans and was walking with great difficulty towards the shopping kart while trying not to loose balance, then disaster striked: one of the cans fell on my left foot. I was wearing flip-flops that day, it hit my little toe right where it hurts. The pain was umbereable and all the cans fell to the floor as I crouched down to hold my injured toe. Oliver saw what was going on and sped towards me.
"Let me see", Oliver demanded as he stooped down in front of me and took off my flip flop. He held my little toe with delicacy, like a little boy who traps a butterfly but doesn't want to hurt it, just to admire it. "Does it hurt a lot?"
"No, I'm fine, leave me alone", I snapped. But he didn't leave me alone. Instead he leaned closer to the floor and raised my foot gently towards him. Before I knew what was going on he had my little toe and part of the others in his mouth, and he was sucking on them like a baby on a pacifier while he glared into my eyes. I felt his tongue fondling my skin and his saliva aliviating my pain. Then he released and put the flip flop onto my foot again.
We finished shopping without saying another word. When we went outside, my mommy was already putting her stuff in the car trunk.
"How did it go?", she asked.
