\\Underground lab - Location unknown\\

It was dark when I woke and cold. Taking some time to realise where I was memories flooded into my mind like rushing waves in a thrashing storm. For a moment I wonder if I'm already dead awaiting in the darkness for something to happen. I'd been sedated that was for sure. To make certain I wasn't to wake after being knocked out, knowing the last half hour before would have been forgotten nothing seemed clear. When trying to use my quirks nothing happened. Taking a moment to steady my breathing it wouldn't be long till I got some answers.

The sound of metal clanging together made my body turn towards the new strip of light under a sealed door. As it scraped open the mear shine of light burnt my eyes. It was just like before.

"It'sss about time you woke." Her hiss was recognisable. Cobra. Being strapped down I didn't waste energy. High security comes with a place like this. My head was clamped down so I didn't look away, to try finding a way out. It's always the new people who still have hope. Time past, the table I layed on rolled past 30 bright lights leaving me half blind. "She'ssss here." That hiss pierced my ears yet again.

"Good, hoist the table up." The whole table rolled up like a whiteboard giving me a clear view of two boys. One looked to be 6 or 7 the same age as I was when first arriving here.  The other was my age now, not getting a full look at the boy's face a man stood in the way putting in a needle. " Lovely to see you're doing so well my dear (Y/N)." Doctor X smiled.

"Why don't my quirks work." Saying this he squinted his eyes.

"You've perked up more than when you were here last. Too bad we need to keep you in tip-top shape for now. " He sighed looking down at the sample of blood he got from me. "To make sure you didn't run away we temporarily deactivated your quirks, of course, one can't fully remove quirks when there already accepted into a subject, we already tested that didn't we." Biting my lip at the memory of being ripped apart he awoke the little boy.

"What's going on..... No, no more needles! Rin? Rin make them stop!" Doctor X laughed as the needle to placed inside of his arm. The boy fainted.

"You see (Y/N) when I was put together again I've made rumours successful quirks such as the ones for three days ago. But none like yours. It seems people with a shapeshifting quirk are the only ones with potential to adapt and change their DNA to hold more than one quirk." Everyone's attention in the room seemed to focus on the boy as he started shaking. His body is rejecting my blood. Theirs only two ways this can go, an illness curable by medication or complete bodily shutdown meaning.....Death. His eyes shot open and I didn't want to see what happened next. Shutting my eyes the Doctor sighed. " It's so hard to find shapeshifters, take the body to be extinguished." Squinting open one eye I saw a pool of blood on the floor. Gulping at the sight my body became stiff. "Now what are we going to do with you?" Doctor X shifted to Rin as I learned tapping his foot to the floor right next to the blood that was being cleaned. "Mist take another sample, we can extract smaller DNA samples with less clutter for tomorrow." The sharp pain of the needle stabbing me made me flinch. I guess that was for icing him. "For now take them both to the preparation room. "

Another dose of the quirk disabler was given to me. It lasts 8 hours but I'm sure my quirks would be weak for another hour or so before they were fully functional. Rin the shapeshifter was still asleep next to me. What am I going to say to explain his friend or maybe brother is dead? Doctor X mentioned I was asleep for three days and now it's the fifth...... Time is going so slow it seemed like torture. The clock ticking in the corner of this room. Tick, tick, tick. Frustration filled me for a moment till I calmed myself, they have monitors and will come in when seeing my heart beat rise. A shuffling next to me followed by a groan made me turn.

"Nastu... Nastu are you here?" As my mouth began to dry I could hear him moving his restraints.

"No he's not here, I'm..."

"(Y/N)? The girl they've been looking for." They must have spoken of me, how long has he been here.

"Yes, Nastu he..... he's." Something was court in my throat, not finishing my sentence something told me he already knew what happened.

"I know... They said tests would start when they got you 4 months ago." I heard a sob and bit my lip. "Children are more adaptable, he seemed confident it would work. Now my brother is dead what are they going to do?" They were siblings. The stiffness my body felt turned into a tight knot.

"They're doing more tests in a few hours, remember not to struggle. Save your strength for surviving this place." He didn't like that, Rin pulled on his restrains.

"They killed my brother trying to make another killing machine like you, I'm getting out of here."

"I've never killed anyone," I whispered under my breath listening for hours to him thrashing around until sleep took over him. There were a lot of people like him, their boldness is what killed them.
