Stacey's P.O.V.
"So, are you ready for tonight?" Alice smiled, bumping shoulders with me as we followed the guys out of the school.
"Of course she is," Kyle teased, turning around and walking backward to look at us.
"I mean I could always say no," I shot back, laughing.
"Ouch," he said, placing a hand on his heart.
"Oh, shut up," I laughed, pushing his shoulder.
Kyle stumbled a bit, but I grabbed his hand and caught him before he crashed.
"Don't try to kill me next time alright? Just tell me if you don't want to go out with me," he laughed.
"Whatever, of course I want to go out with you, dork," I smiled, biting my lip.
"Ky! Stace! Wait up," a voice yelled behind us.
"What do you want?" I asked, turning to see Sam.
"I need to talk to you about the game Thursday night," he said, putting his hands up in surrender and placing his basketball against his side.
"Ok, what is up?" I asked.
"The guys are in debate on when we are leaving for the game tomorrow," he began. "So, I just wanted to make sure that we got there on time."
"Yea, we'll meet in front of the school at one tomorrow," Ky nodded. "Spread the word, alright?"
"You got it," Sam said, turning to walk away.
At the last minute, he turned and chucked his basketball at us, seeming to aim directly at someone.
"Ah," Alice gasped, doubling over and clutching her stomach as the ball bounced off of it.
I gasped, catching her before she could totally fall. The boys were quick to get react.
"Dude, you never, ever do that," Ash growled, walking towards him.
Before Sam could even defend himself, Ash walked up to him and shoved him to the ground. Kyle quickly walked up to them and put an hand on his arm, pulling him away.
"Come on, dude, he is not worth it," Ky said.
I got Alice standing back up.
"Are you okay?" Ashton asked, walking back to us.
"Yea, just knocked the breath out of me," she assured, fixing her backpack.
"You might feel like that now, but do not be surprised if a bruise begins to appear," Kyle explained, standing next to me.
She nodded and we continued the walk to our cars. Once we got there, I unlocked the doors so I could put my stuff in the backseat.
"Are we meeting at your place?" Ash asked, looking at me.
"Yea, but we need to go get Claire first," I said, putting my hand on the driver side door handle.
"Alright, see y'all when you get there," the two said as Ash started his truck.
I got in and buckled up as Ky copied my actions. Putting the car in reverse, I backed out and put in drive so that I could pull out onto the road.
"So, are you going to tell me where we are going?" I asked, looking over at him before looking back at the road.
"Nope, just know that you do not have to dress super fancy. Jeans and a nice shirt will be perfect," he smiled.
I giggled, shaking my head as I pulled into the pick up line and unlocked the car so Claire could get in.
