Stacey's P.O.V

The rest of the evening went smoothly. Mom came down for dinner, and pulled Ky aside while Claire and I went back to the living room so she could clean up her toys and I could lay back down. I heard the faucet running briefly and the dishwasher start before the other two joined us.

"Well, I need to get to bed, I am worn out and tomorrow I go back for desk duty," mom said.

"What? Already?" I asked, surprised.

"Yea, I am able to move on my own and need to do something during the day," she smiled.

"And you are for sure ready?" I questioned.

"Yes, I promise," she smiled, kissing my head and going upstairs.

"Claire, let's go," Ky said.

"Goodnight Stace," she smiled.

"Goodnight," I responded.

The pair went upstairs and Ky returned a few minutes later.

"How are you feeling?" He asked, sitting next to me.

"I feel okay, kind of have a headache but nothing major," I smiled.

"Well, your mom told me that she would like you to sleep down here and I stay down here as well so that I can check on you during the night," he said.

"No, Kyle, you need your sleep," I argued.

"I want to make sure you are okay," he assured.

I shook my head, but heard the sureness in his voice and knew I would not get him convinced any other way.

"Well, thank you," I smiled.

"Anytime," he smiled, kissing my cheek.

"Well, I am going to go get some comfy clothes on," I said, standing up.

Ky helped me get up the stairs and to my room. I sent him to his room while I got ready for bed, after putting on some sweats and a tank I stepped outside of my room. Smiling, Kyle took my hand and went back downstairs with me. I laid down on the couch and grabbed the remote, beginning to go through the channel guide.

"Can I join you?" he chuckled.

"I mean I guess," I giggled, making space.

He decided to sit and let me rest my head in his lap. I smiled and snuggled into his lap and wrapped a blanket around me.

"You know if nothing else, we get out of school for a bit," he joked.

"Oh, yea, you're welcome for that," I smiled, rolling my eyes.

"Yes thank you," he stated, looking down at me.

"You know, if you need to you can lay down on the couch with me, you aren't going to sleep very well sitting up, and I know, from experience, that the love seat is not comfortable either," I told him.

He nodded and stood up so that I could roll onto my side and he slipped in behind me. I rested my head on his chest and closed my eyes. Sleep came quickly for me that night. At one point I woke up briefly as my mom left and she said goodbye, before I fell back asleep. I stirred awake as I heard the door closed.

"I'll go get Claire," I heard Alice say.

Looking over my shoulder I saw Ashton nod, before he looked over at me and smiled.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" he asked, walking over to the couch.

"I'm okay, just tired," I said, yawning.
