||==SYNOPSIS==||
Bethany Cabe had known what love was all her life but sadly hadn't felt it ever. Not even when she got married. Bethany married Alexander Van Tilburg shortly after the West German government named him as the junior ambassador to the US. But as time went by, Bethany began to feel that Alexander cared more for his career than for here. Alexander slowly became independent on pills and had a fit when Bethany tried to discuss his situation with him.
Bethany forced herself to leave his husband for her good but not very long after that her husband died. She blames herself for the life he had lost. As the clock changed times, her life changed too and she vowed to never be depended on anyone ever again.
Then she met Anthony Stark and life started to get better. She started to come out of the strict self she was and cherish the small moments of life. But life wasn't so easy to live. Obadiah Stane came into the picture. And the story begins here...

||==PLOT INFORMATION==||
Bethany was married and she had feelings for her husband. You can't change that. She was happy with her wedding initially but then slowly, she began to believe that her husband cared more for his career and that he regarded her as nothing more than a trophy wife.
Her husband became dependent on drugs and started misbehaving with her and became angry whenever she tried to discuss the situation. Alexander was destroying himself and Bethany left him for her good. A short time after that she came to know about her husband being dead in a car accident. She blames herself for that and felt guilty because she thought she might have been able to prevent his demise if she tried more to to get him rid of the drugs.
Bethany vowed that She would never become dependent on anyone else whether it was emotionally, financially or physically. She studied with police officers and street fighters from America's east coast and eventually became one of the world's highly paid bodyguards for diplomats, members of royalty and socialities.
Bethany first met Tony at a reception at the Carnelian embassy in NYC. Tony was impressed by her combat abilities and hired her as a part of his security team. Both of them started to grow fond of each other and became romantically involved. But remember that she still felt for her husband. When Tony first began drinking heavily, Bethany worried he was destroying himself as her husband had. Unlike Alexander, Tony asked for Bethany 's help in overcoming his alcoholism and with her aid, he succeeded leaving alcohol.
She didn't know about Tony being Iron Man and resented Iron Man because he never seemed to be around Tony when he needed him. But at some point she realised that Iron Man was Tony himself. Her suspicions were subsequently confirmed by Madame Masque.
Shortly after that, She came to know that her husband was still alive and being held a prisoner in East German security complex. She abruptly broke her relationship with Tony and went to East Germany. She planned to be arrested for espionage to break her husband out of captivity. She was sent to the same security complex where her husband was being held.
Unaware of Bethany's plan, Tony infiltrated the complex hoping to rescue her. When both, Tony and Bethany were in danger of being caught there, she revealed to Tony that she knew he was iron man and told him to put on his suit to save them. Iron Man Saved both Bethany and her husband. Alexander was in coma and Bethany felt guilt ridden.
Alexander recovered but being the douche bag he was, he went back to his dependence of drugs. He lost his ambassadorship and his career went to ruins. He even still refused. Bethany's help. She sought out Tony, hoping he could help but she was kidnapped by men working for Obadiah Stane. Obadiah was in league with Madame Masque. Stane had exchange the minds of Bethany and Madame Masque.
Masque in Bethany's body tried to assassinate Tony. But Bethany in Masque's body thwarted the attempt. Tony came to know about it when Masque in Bethany body acted to be more romantically involved with him. Tony then used Dr. Atlanta's mind-exchange marching to restore the minds of Bethany and Masque to their respective bodies.
Bethany was in love in Tony but she felt obligated to return to her husband. Soon back in Germany, she decided that her husband's situation was hopeless and realised that he did not want her help. But she soon found out that he was murdered by the drug dealers. She tracked her husband's killer down and had them arrested but did not retake her relationship with Tony.
Years later, Bethany was contacted by Rhodes and when she saw tony again, he offered her the rank of CEO at Stark Industries and their relation seemed to rekindled.
I am very attached to this plot and so I can be a little choosy about whom to give this plot to depending on the way you write. If I don't find someone good enough to write, I'll write it on my own but I hope I find someone.
Bethany has a very strong personality and she is determined. She is a very loyal woman and note that she is in guilt when she heard her husband died. So, don't just rush things through her and tony. Bethany initially rescued from alcoholism and kept Tony "clean" during their first relationship. However, when she left to return to her husband, Tony quickly hit "rock bottom" with his alcohol abuse; losing his friends, his Iron Man armor, his fortune, and eventually becoming a street person.
Prior to Bethany Cabe's inception, all of Tony's romantic encounters had been with women dependent upon his care and affections. Bethany is a deviation. As she is extremely confident, assertive, self-dependent, and strong willed.
She is fluent in german, and handling firearms and flying. She is skilled in hand to hand combat and different forms of it.
