Bye to the world means the ending of something whether it be a conversation, a meeting with someone, or just a salutation.
But, bye to me hurts a little.
Many have joked and said bye in the middle of a conversation to end it.
They have joked with me and said bye, then really left and never came back.
I am not fond of "bye" it's abrupt and mean, it's hurtful, and sarcastic to the point it stings a little.
The word "bye" hurts me when said.
People who have said "bye" to me and never turned back, or even thought about coming back to me have broken my heart.
Those people are the reason my heart hurts a little when you say "bye".
