I Want You Back

Taehyung barged into Hoseok's room.
Hoseok was sat on his bed, staring out of the window.

"Hoseok!" Taehyung said. "I'm sorry."

Hoseok turned to face Taehyung.
"Tae? Why are you here?"

Taehyung swallowed and sat beside Hoseok. "I heard about...what happened."

"Jimin? Or my friend?"

"Both."

Hoseok nodded solemnly. "Jimin is innocent. And Youngjae is dead because of me."

"What happened with Jimin?"

Hoseok glared at Taehyung. Taehyung flinched a little. "I mean, why did they say that he...raped you?"

"They didn't. It was Jungkook. I was having sex with Jimin, and Jungkook caught us. He told the nurses and police that Jimin raped me."

"But did you tell them it wasn't true?"

"No. I couldn't. Jungkook said if I did that he would kill Jimin. And I have no reason to disbelieve that."

"Hoseok, surely the police would arrest Jungkook for...what is it? Perverting the course of justice. Then Jimin would be free. He would have to be."

"How do I know Jungkook won't get someone to kill Jimin once I told them?"

Taehyung pursed his lips. "Ah, well. You might have to take that risk. Get protection from the police. Jimin cannot stay there if he is innocent."

"If?" Hoseok laughed dryly. "You don't believe me."

"I do Hobi! I've seen what it did to you in the past, sleeping with people when you really didn't want to. It's not completely the same but, you're not a mess about it like you would have been if Jimin had done that to you." Taehyung sighed. "I shouldn't have put you here. I should have sent Honey away and looked after you myself."

Hoseok started at Taehyung, trying to find any sign that he was lying. He looked sincere.

"I thought you wanted to marry her."

"I did."

"You did? Not do?"

"To be honest, Hoseok, at the moment all I want is to concentrate on you. I miss you so much! We were always together since childhood. I can't have you in my life. I just can't!"

"What about her? I don't want to have anything to do with her Tae. You don't know what she's like. What she's done."

"Tell me then. Please, Hobi. Today is my wedding day, but I feel like shit. I feel trapped like I'm being forced to marry. I don't think I can marry her."

"Are you just saying that to make me happy?"

"No. I'm saying it because it's true."

"Okay." Hoseok nodded. "Then I'll tell you why you shouldn't marry her."

Hoseok told Taehyung about the threats he had received from Honey and her friends, as well as the beating. He told him that he was sure Honey and her friends were the ones that beat his sister Kelly too.

Taehyung listened in silence. He was shocked and angry. "So, Honey is the reason that Kelly moved away?"

Hoseok nodded. "And that's why that day at our place when Kelly saw Honey she legged it."

"Oh my god!" Taehyung put his head in his hands. "I'm so stupid! I'm sorry, Hoseok. I really am. And Kelly...Honey could have killed her!"

Hoseok took hold of Taehyung's hand. "Tae is all of this real?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, are you really believing me now?"

"Yes, I am. I'm not marrying her, not now. I want you back in my life Hoseok."

"Then you need to help me get Jimin back. But Tae, Jungkook is very dangerous."

Taehyung bit his lip. "Hmm, well. We need to get something on him. When Jimin supposedly raped you, did they find any evidence to support it?"

"Like what?"

"Like any bruises, any defensive wounds?"

"No, because there wasn't a struggle."

"Then why the hell did they just believe Jungkook?"

"I don't know. Maybe because I didn't tell them anything, maybe he paid them. He is wealthy and important, after all."

Taehyung stood abruptly. "I need to talk to Jin. I'll be back."
