Taehyung sat in Jin's office, waiting for him to return. Finally, after twenty minutes, Jin swept into the room.
"Sorry about that Tae, I'm all yours now. What's up?"
"When Jimin was arrested, how much did Jungkook pay the police?"
Jin stared in surprise. "Tae! You can't just say things like that!"
Taehyung sighed leaning back into the chair. "Jin please, just help me out here. Just tell me what you know about that day."
"Fine," Jin rubbed his brow. "Since that was my first day here, I didn't see much of anything. I was mostly in here reading up on the patients. And I was still in here at the time of that incident."
"So, you didn't see anything? And no-one mentioned anything about it?"
"No. Not to me at least. Tae do you really think Jungkook bribed them?" He whispered. "Why would he do that?"
"Because Jimin and Hoseok are back together. Jungkook caught them having sex, he got pissed and wanted rid of Jimin."
"Wait, I thought Jungkook was Hoseok's boyfriend?"
"He was, but Hoseok hadn't got the chance to tell Jungkook that he no longer wanted to be with him."
"Ah, right. Well, I didn't like that Jungkook at all. He was pushy with Hoseok; he wouldn't let him speak to me. So you're saying that Jimin did not rape Hoseok?"
"That's right. The sex was consensual. Hoseok didn't tell anyone anything because Jungkook threatened Jimin's life if Hoseok told anyone the truth. And I believe that Jungkook must have bribed the police because they found no evidence of rape. No wounds, nothing."
Jin shook his head. All this information was making his head spin. "Alright, then we need to find out what happened. And I know how."
Taehyung's heart leapt. "How?"
"We just have to check the security cameras, of course. Come on."

Everything had happened so fast. One moment Hoseok was in the hospital, the next he is back home with Taehyung. With no trace of Honey nor her awful cushions.
Namjoon told Taehyung what he had missed out on, at his wedding day. Apparently, the police turned up to arrest Honey how Hoseok would have loved to have seen that. However, Honey was not there. They assumed that someone must have tipped her off and she fled, well before the cops showed up.
As for jungkook, there was a massive uproar about the whole bribing cops fiasco. The security cameras thankfully, had caught everything, and no-one could deny it. Hoseok opened up and explained what really happened to the police, and they assured him that Jimin would be released. And that was all that Hoseok cared about now.
Almost everything was back to normal, all except that it was not entirely typical for Hoseok. He still tortured himself daily about Youngjae's death. He knew he had to find peace with it; he just did not know-how.
Hoseok was not entirely using again, not the big stuff at least. Jungkook had left Hoseok a bottle of painkillers. And anytime he felt terrible, hoseok would take one. Though taking them also made him feel awful, he knew it was wrong, but he could not fight it. He needed something, anything, to help him through.
Taehyung took time off work to care for Hoseok and help him settle back in, that made Hoseok feel guilty. Knowing that Taehyung feels that Hoseok is his responsibility when Hoseok is an adult, and he should be able to handle himself. Yet he could not, he was in no fit state to do so, he just did not want to be a burden. Taehyung has always put Hoseok first, and here Hoseok was taking pills that he knew he should not be taking, all behind Taehyung's back. Hoseok argues with himself every time he takes a drug. Taehyung's heart would shatter once again if he knew, so he must never find out. Hoseok believes that he will stop taking them eventually, just until he feels less broken.
The doorbell rang interrupting Hoseok's thoughts. He padded barefoot to the door, opening it gingerly.
"Jimin!" Hoseok cried. He jumped into Jimin's arms, squeezing him tight as though, not believing he was really there.
"Hey, Hobi." Jimin smiled. "It's so good to see you again. How are you?"
Hoseok pulled Jimin into the living room and dragged him down on to the sofa. "I'm okay. Better now, you're here."
"A lot has happened, huh?"
"Yeah." Hoseok held Jimin's hands. "Did you hear about Youngjae?"
"Yes, I did." Jimin kissed Hoseok's forehead. "I'm sorry, Hoseok. I know you two became close."
Tears smeared Hoseok's cheeks. "He did it because of me Jimin. Because I was leaving him."
"No, Hobi! Jimin cradled Hoseok, pulling him onto his lap. "It wasn't your fault."
"But it was! I told him I was leaving, then moments later he was dead."
"Hoseok, Youngjae had severe depression. He had an awful upbringing, his parents, they abused him and left him with a family that are now his parents. They looked after him as best they could. They tried to make him happy; they just couldn't. All Youngjae knew was that his birth parents hurt him and then rejected him; he never knew why he thought he must have been bad. He had a few friends, but they just used him and then rejected him too. All he ever knew was rejection."
"He thought that he would never see me again?" Hoseok cried. "See, it was my fault!"
"No, it was his parents' fault, hoseok. Not yours. The nurses told me that before you arrived at the hospital, Youngjae would never smile, not once. But when you became his friend, he smiled, all the time he was with you. Hoseok, you showed him happiness. You showed him that he could be loved. You can't blame yourself for what happened. He was always a high-risk patient, and that wasn't down to you. Just think about the happy moments you gave him because that is what was most important to him. That is what he would want you to remember."
Hoseok sniffled. "I still feel bad. He was so adorable Jimin, like a little brother. I wanted to protect him. I failed."
"There was nothing that you could have done Hobi. He would always carry that sadness with him. He was I guess, like a ticking time bomb, it could have happened at any time, for any reason. And you yourself were sick too. It wasn't your job to care for him."
Hoseok nodded. "I think I understand what you're saying. I miss him. I think I want to see his parents-not the real ones, the adoptive ones."
"Alright. Maybe Jin could help you find them."
"Jimin? Has Jungkook...said anything? Has he sent someone?"
"Hobi, don't worry about him. I'm fine. He can't do anything to hurt us now."
"How can you know that? He could easily contact someone."
"He won't."
"Why won't he?"
"Because mum and dad have cut his allowance. He has no money, so even if he does contact someone, he wouldn't be able to pay them to do the job. He's finished Hoseok."
Hoseok exhaled, closing his eyes, resting his head on Jimin's chest. "I hope so. Jimin, I love you."
Jimin smiled. "I love you too. It's over baby, forget him. You got Taehyung and me back now and that which has gone too. Everything is okay now."
