Twenty-Six

>>>Gabriel's POV<<<

"pssst" Owen says as he cracks my bedroom door and sticks his head in.

"Gabriel, are you awake?" He asks, more loudly.

I throw a pillow at his head then roll over and look at the irresistible woman next to me. Getting up from the bed, I place a soft kiss on her cheek then walk into the bathroom to use the toilet and do my hygiene. Once I'm finished I walk into the living room to see Owen sitting on the couch eating an apple.

"Man, you've got to stop waking me up all the time. Especially when Aaliyah is here. It won't hurt you to knock" I groan, folding my arms.

"My bad, I was just wondering if you and Aaliyah would be here all day today?"

"Yeah, we will so please find yourself something to do that doesn't involve coming home. I'm doing something special for her tonight and I don't want you here." I say with a huge smile on my face.

"Cool I'll disappear, so are you two actually together or no?" Owen asks, chomping on his apple.

"Not yet but I'm working on it. I'm about to leave in a bit so make sure you don't wake Aaliyah up and don't go into my room."

"Understood, I'll be gone by the time you get back."

Walking back into my room, I start getting dressed in a red plaid button down t-shirt, black jeans, and black boots then grab my wallet and keys. Going out to my car, I drive to the nearest floral shop and walk inside because I know exactly what color flowers to get: Rose Gold. That's Aaliyah's favorite color. I remember it from when she first told me.

"Hello, welcome to the Floral Castle. How may we help you today?" The cashier smiles at me.

"Hello, I was wondering if I could buy a bouquet of rose gold and white flowers"

"For what occasion? We have an array of flowers but the ones we have may not fit your occasion"

"I need them for something I'm doing for my lady friend. Any flower would fit the occasion, they just need to be rose gold and white" I say, clearly getting impatient.

"Okay, coming right up" She says then goes into the back.

"How are these, sir?"

"Perfect" I smile and pull out my wallet.

"That'll be $50"

"Thank you" I tell her as I take the flowers back to my car.

Driving to the nearest supermarket, I buy some champagne scented bubble bath, cranberry juice, wine glasses, body oil, candles, and various ingredients for the dish I'm making. After paying for my stuff, I drive back home and find Aaliyah still asleep so I quietly hide everything. I've got to get her out of the house today so I call her mother's phone.

"Gabriel, you call me so much that I've decided to save your number. What is it this time?" Jackie asks me.

"Hello to you too Jackie. Can I speak to Benjamin?"

"Benjiiii, it's Gabriel! Here" Jackie says giving him the phone.

"Wassup Gabriel, how's it going?" Benji asks nicely.

"Wassup, everything is fine. I was wondering if you could invite Aaliyah out today and have her back here at around 6. I have something special planned for her"

"That's great! I'll give her a call in a bit."

After hanging up the phone, I walk into the living room and get out a piece of paper and a pen then start writing down my feelings on the paper. Once I finish, I fold it up and put it in the desk drawer. Walking into my bedroom, I hear Aaliyah's phone ring and I know it's her father so I gently shake her awake.
