>>>Gabriel's POV<<<

As I'm watching the GPS and the road, I can't help but glance at Aaliyah and her little, round belly. I can't believe there's a little person growing inside her and it's half mine.

"Why are you staring at me?" Aaliyah asks, folding her arms.

"I just love looking at you. I'm fascinated at how your belly has grown. It's amazing." I smile, goofily.

"Gabriel, so I was thinking I'd change my name to something exotic like Raven or Nova and for you I was thinking, Blake or Ryan...What do you think?"

"Babe, what are you even talking about? We're not changing our names, we're just starting over in a new place. We aren't changing our identities. You've watched too many movies." I laugh, hysterically.

"I'm sorry to be a downer and bring this up but how do you get over it? Every time I close my eyes, I see Jessie's face."

"You never do. Some days are better than others and I pray you have more good days than bad. It'll get better as time passes but you'll never get over it." I tell her, grabbing her hand.

"That's good to know."

Continuing our long drive, we eventually make it to Heinz and I am absolutely happy about it. Driving to the apartment, Aaliyah's eyes light up when she sees it. She hops out of the car while I grab the money that I need from her suitcase.

"Hello I assume you're, Mr. Hayes. I am landlord, Harold O'Brien and I'm glad you love the place so much. I'll be taking your payment and you may sign your lease after reviewing the contract." Harold says , introducing himself.

"We'd like to look over the place first before signing. Just to make sure everything is up to par. I am Aaliyah by the way. I'm Gabriel's girlfriend." Aaliyah says, eyeing Harold.

"Yes, of course. I'll show you two around. When is the little one due?" He asks while unlocking the door.

"We're not sure. Our doctor's appointment is later today." Aaliyah lies, smoothly.

Now that I think about it, we really should be making another doctor's appointment after we get settled in. I'll be sure to remind Aaliyah about that later. Aaliyah and I follow Harold into the apartment and it's absolutely amazing. I'm glad it's already furnished because I know nothing about furniture and decorations.

"So I was wondering, how many people have used this furniture? No disrespect but I'm sure that's unsanitary." Aaliyah says, sniffing the couch.

"Actually I planned on living here myself so I ordered brand new furniture and planned to get settled in soon but Gabriel called with his offer and I couldn't pass it up. Everything that I had in here was moved out and I've already found a new place so you won't have to worry about me. All of the furniture is yours if you sign the lease." Harold explains.

"Give us a minute." I say and softly pull Aaliyah towards me and into the corner.

"Baby, what do you think? I know you want it so why are you giving the guy such a hard time?"

"Gabriel, you have to realize that we may be raising our child here, depending on how long we stay so we have to make sure it is perfect." She tells me, clearly frustrated.

"Aaliyah, by the time the baby starts walking we can move into a house but right now, we need this place and I'm going to sign the lease."

Walking over to Harold, I tell him that we'll take it then sign the lease and pay him. He gives me a paper telling me when the rent is due and how much it'll be. After he leaves, I walk over to Aaliyah and pick her up wedding style into my arms.

"It's ours. We finally have a place together." I smile as I twirl her.

"Yes we do." She smiles back.

"We really should find a Doctor here and check on the baby. I'm sure all the stress you've been under isn't good. We should also go shopping. We need clothes, shoes, baby stuff, kitchen items, etc."

"You're right. I'll look for doctors on the way to the bank and the store." She tells me as I put her down.

"The bank?" I asked, confused.

"Yes, you need to put the money into the bank instead of carrying into around in a bag. It looks like we've robbed a bank or something."

Kissing Aaliyah's cheek, I lead her out to the car then I use the GPS to find the nearest bank. After driving to it, I let Aaliyah stay in the car while I go inside to start a bank account then deposit most of the money. Once I sign all of the papers, I go back out to the car then get inside and start driving to the store. Helping Aaliyah out of the car, we go inside and start filling up our cart with things that we need for the house.

"Omg babe! Look at this little outfit. I know we don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet but we have to get it!!" Aaliyah squeals holding up a tiny outfit.

"Awwww it's cute. Put it into the cart." I smile, softly.

We continue filling the cart up with groceries, bathroom items, a television, and clothing for ourselves. After finally finishing, I push the heavy ass cart to the register.

"Hi, how are you?" The cashier smiles at us.

"We're fine." We say in unison.

"Aww this outfit is so cute. Are you guys having a boy or girl?"

"We actually don't know yet but hope to find out soon." Aaliyah tells the cashier.

"That's amazing. Your total will be $736.80." The cashier tells us.

Pulling out my wallet, I use my debit card to pay for everything. Just as I'm about to push the cart outside, Aaliyah stops me and starts pushing the cart to the car.

"Baby, that cart is heavy and you shouldn't be pushing it. You're pregnant." I say, worriedly.

"Gabriel! I'm pregnant not helpless! I'm sure it'll be fine." She says while pushing.

As Aaliyah walks in front of me, I notice drops of blood on the ground. Staring at Aaliyah's smooth caramel legs, I see the streams of blood running down them.

"Aaliyah stop pushing the cart!! There's blood running down your legs!!!" I scream then run over to the cart.

"What are you talking about?" Aaliyah asks then looks down.

I quickly put everything  into the back seat and trunk then help Aaliyah into the car. My mind is racing as I find the nearest emergency room on the GPS. Turning on my emergency lights, I drive as fast as I can to the hospital.

"Aaliyah are you in any pain?" I ask, holding her hand.

"N-no, but there's more blood. Gabriel please hurry! I'm worried." She says, with a shaky voice.

Once we finally arrive to the hospital, I pick my baby up and carry her into the hospital.

"HELP!! My girlfriend is pregnant and she's bleeding!" I scream as people rush over to me.

They take Aaliyah into the back on a gurney and stop me from going into the back with her. The nurse calls me over to the desk and I tell her my name as well as Aaliyah's name. Realizing that all I can do is wait, I sit down in a chair and start praying that Aaliyah and the baby are okay. After what seems like hours, a Doctor finally comes out and stands in front of me.

"I'm sorry Mr. Hayes, I have some bad news. Please follow me into the back so that we can discuss what your next steps will be."

"What do you mean?" I ask, confused as hell.

"Your girlfriend miscarried." He says, calmly.
