Zuhri Weldge

Chapter 19

It was Monday morning and 'the Weldge' had already decorated the mansion with ornaments and birthday present for Sia. Sia was in her room when Zuhri came in.

"Knock knock birthday girl, happy birthday!!!!!" Zuhri whistled hard

"Oh thanks Zuhri" sia said with a forced smile as she gazed back at her iPhone

"Hey, look what I got for you" she said excitedly as she brought out a birkin but Sia was lost in her phone that she had no interest in Zuhri's present then Zuhri sat close to her

"Hey sia" she said as she lifted her chin. "You don't look happy"

"I'm fine Zuhri, why wouldn't I be happy" she said rhetorically with a forced smile but Zuhri wasn't convinced

"Tell me, is it Connor?"

"Yeah Zuhri, can you imagine?, He didn't even wish me a happy birthday instead it was mom and dad who came her by exactly 12pm to sing me a kid birthday song. I wanted him to be the first but apparently he is not even the last right Now" she rolled her eyes

"Oh I see, maybe he's just waiting for the perfect Time you know"

"Perfect time?, Don't give me that shit Zuhri. It's clear, he doesn't remember my birthday" she said in a ray of disappointment.

"Oh c'mon sia, you're expecting him to propose and now he doesn't even remember your birthday" she chuckled

"It's not funny Zuhri"

"I'm sorry, it's just you need to give him time. I bet he's trying to create something special for you cuz apparently he knows you're miss perfect" Zuhri teased

"Burst my bubble Zuhri" she said faking a chuckle

"You know what, I took up leave to come for your birthday so you better smile. Ain't nobody wanna see a sad birthday girl" Zuhri said as she gave her a kiss on the forehead and turned to leave.

"C'mon just send me a text" Sia begged as she fixed her gaze into her phone.

Zuhri was downstairs in the kitchen with her mom and Bethany, zeech's wife preparing dishes

"You know I was wondering Zuhri, when are you going to have a baby?, You know si we can get Ready for a baby shower?" She said as she rinsed a plate out of the zinc.

Zuhri wasn't allowed to Reply Bethany because Mrs weldge had given her the reply she deserved. To stop putting her nose in someone else's life." Go get a life" Mrs Weldge said annoying the hell out of Bethany

"Hmp, I'm going to see if zeech is here already" Bethany said obviously irritated as she walked out of the kitchen removing her apron and tossing it on the table.

"Thanks mom, but she's right. It's high time I have a baby"

"Yes dear but...." Mrs weldge was cut off by Zayn

"Hello ladies, need help?"

"Hey Zayn, come over here" Mrs Weldge instructed as he obeyed. "You know what we were just talking about"

"Aish, seems Zuhri hasn't told you how much I hate guessing" he said staring at Zuhri who just looked away

"We were talking about both of you having a child"

"Um.... really?" He said as she choked on the glass of water he was sipping

"Yes, is there anything wrong with that?

"Look Mrs Weldge, Zuhri can't give birth and I seriously don't have any problem with it"

"Not now but sooner or later you're gonna realize your marriage isn't complete"

"She's gonna need surgery to give birth and I really can't allow that. We'll take up an adoption if that ever happens ma'am, I'll go see Sia now. " He walked out

"He's just such a jelly fish" Zuhri said shaking her head in dismay

"Don't say that Zuhri, he's just being a caring husband" Mrs weldge said as she continued to cut the vegetables.

It was 10pm already and sia's party had begun. Sia was reluctant to get dressed as she was still expecting Connor.

"Sia get dressed, your family and friends are downstairs waiting for you, please zeech help me talk some sense into our little sister's head" Zuhri begged as she was tired of trying to get Sia dressed

"C'mon sis, I'm sure he'll be here in no time. Have a little bit of patience" zeech said with brotherly love as he patted sia's shoulder

"You think he's going to show up?"

"I know he's gonna Sia, now let Zuhri help you get dressed. She's already frustrated" he whispered into sia's right ear which made her chuckle and Zuhri just shook his head not wanting to guess what zeech had just said into sia's ear.

"I'll take my leave now or else Beth's gonna go all insane" he giggled and left

"Now let's get you dressed up birthday girl" Zuhri said as Sia smiled

Sia was escorted down the stairs by Zuhri in her purple tube gown which was fitted to her body exposing her curves

Where are you Connor? Sia asked in her mind. Then she got down the stairs as the guests all shouted happy birthday.

"Thanks everyone" Sia said with her best smile as she looked for Connor but couldn't find him. Then suddenly the lights all turned off

"Oh my, what happened to the power?" Mrs weldge asked zeech in panic

"It must be a power shortage, I'll go check on it". As zeech was about to leave he then saw a shadow of a person coming in with a fog.

"Who's that?" Sia asked Zuhri

"We both standing here together sis, how am I supposed to know?"

Then the person started to sing  what was a love song. Sia blushed as Zuhri noticed .

"Who is he huh?" Zuhri asked guessing with that smile she already knew
