Mal's POV
I woke up by the bright morning sun, filling the room with light. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Evie still asleep. I sat up and stretched out. I looked at the clock, which said 8.30. Wait, what?! Our first lesson already started!
'Evie! Wake up! We're too late!' I jumped out of my bed and ran to Evie.
'What?' Evie said still half asleep.
'It's 8.30! We have to go!' I threw some clothes to her.
'Oh no no no no no!' Evie jumped out of her bed and quickly got dressed.
We ran out the dorm the dorm to our classroom. Unfortunately, our first lesson was physics with mr. Miller. He wasn't the most kind teacher. More like the opposite of mrs. Delvon. We opened the door of the classroom and all eyes were on us.
'Good morning mr. Miller. We're really sorry that we're too late, but w...' I couldn't even finish my sentence.
'I don't wanna hear it. You can go to Fairy Godmother,' he said snippy.
'But we ju...' Evie tried.
'Go,' he said getting angry.
'Yes sir,' we said and closed the door.
'Oh no, we're in trouble. This isn't ok. No no no no no. She's gonna suspend us, for at least a month!,' Evie was totally panicking.
'Calm down. We're gonna be ok. Fairy Godmother isn't that strict, she's not gonna suspend us,' I said trying to comfort her.
We knocked on the door.
'It's unlocked,' we heard Fairy Godmother say.
We nervously walked in.
'Hello girls, please, take a seat,' she said with a friendly voice, as always.
'Good Morning, Fairy Godmother,' we said as we took a seat.
'So, tell me, what brings you girls here?' She asked.
'Well, this morning, we overslept a little so we were too late for our first class,' I explained.
'But it wasn't on purpose,' Evie said quickly.
'Then how come you're too late?' Fairy Godmother asked.
Should I tell her? Maybe she would understand. But nobody is even supposed to know about it. But if I didn't tell her, Evie would be punished for something I caused in the first place.
'It is my fault, Fairy Godmother,' I said quickly. She looked at me.
'Well, I'm not supposed to say this, but here's the thing. Yesterday I've been to Tiana's Palace with Ben and after that we went to the beach, where he uhhm... well, he proposed to me,' I said, nervous for her reaction.
Fairy Godmother looked at me with a surprised, almost shocked, face. She was speechless for a few minutes. I think she didn't really know what to say.
She finally broke the silence. 'Alright, then,' she cleared her throat. 'Because of these, well, unexpected circumstances, I'll let you both go with a warning. But don't let this happen again, alright?' She said, still a little confused.
'Thank you so much, Fairy Godmother,' we both said relieved.
'Mal, before you go. I want to speak to you and Ben after school.' She said to me.
'Uhm, ok,' I said. I could guess what she wanted to talk about.
