⊱ ───── { Jisung } ───── ⊰

Jisung yanks aggressively at the doorknob, trying his damnedest to get the door to open, but it won't budge.

"Jaemin! Jeno!" he screams at the top of his lungs, but he knows it's useless. There's no way in Hell they could hear him.

He jars his shoulder into the door, but that proves useless as well. He hears a loud pop, and he drops to the ground, screaming in pain.

"Fuck!"

He dare not move his shoulder. He had a strong gut feeling that should he do so, he'd be in excruciating pain. He gazes at his shoulder and winces at the thought of resetting it.

Where was an angel when you need one?

Then it clicks.

"Donghyuck!" Jisung cries out at the top of his lungs.

A bright orb of light appears by Jisung's side. It shines bright for a moment before vanishing completely, the tanned boy standing in its place.

"What do you want?" he groans.

"Can you heal my shoulder? I dislocated it," Jisung grunts.

"How the hell did you dislocate your shoulder?" Donghyuck questions as he kneels down to check out Jisung's shoulder.

"I hit the door wrong trying to get it open," Jisung answers.

"There's a doorknob, genius," Donghyuck mutters as he hovers his hand above his shoulder and light begins to emit from it.

"It won't open. It's stuck. I can't get out of here," Jisung explains.

"Why is it-"

"Jaemin!" a voice screams at the top of their lungs. Both boys look at each other with wide eyes and pale faces.

Donghyuck's hand dims, and the two of them rush to the door for some type of auditory confirmation that what they heard wasn't what they thought it was.

"We have to get out of here," Jisung states with a gulp.

"If we can't get out manually, then we'll get out the bippity-boppity-boo way," Donghyuck says with the utmost seriousness.

"I'm sorry, the what?" Jisung asks.

"Shut up and take my hand," Donghyuck snaps as he holds out his hand, palm facing upward for Jisung to take.

Jisung complies and places his hand in Donghyuck's. The two become consumed by a blinding light, and when it fades, they appear in the hallway outside of Jeno's study. Jisung spins on his heel to look back at the door, but there wasn't one. It was barren wall as if nothing had been there before.

Jisung presses his fingertips into the rough grey wallpaper and runs them along the area which the doorframe had once been. But there was nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Grunting and snarling comes from a room just down the hall, and both boys snap their heads toward the sound. Suddenly, a loud roar fills the air, shaking the house as if an earthquake had struck.

"Oh fuck," Jisung inhales sharply as he crouches down so that he's in a more stable position to prevent accidentally falling and dislocating his shoulder again. Donghyuck does the same, but it appears he does so only for the fact that he lost his balance.

The roaring ceases, and so does the shaking.

"That's not good," Donghyuck states.

"Yeah, no shit," Jisung responds.

The sudden sound of a crash comes from downstairs, and Jisung's stomach drops.

"The mob," he gasps just before another loud crash sounds out, "Did they not hear that roar? Did they not see the house shake? Why are they still trying to get in?"

"I....I don't think they're trying to get in," Donghyuck points out.

"Wha-"

The smell of smoke slowly begins to waft upstairs. Though it's a very light smell at first, it's enough to alarm Jisung.

"Fuck!" he yells before taking off down the stairs. He storms into the living room and notices flames have ignited, and they were quickly spreading. He turns to find Donghyuck at the bottom of the staircase.

"I can stop the fire, but I need you to go find a way into the sacrifice room! Make the doors reappear, and hurry!" Jisung commands before darting off into the room.

He wastes no time surveying the area. He couldn't afford to. Instead, Jisung immediately drops to his knees, placing his palms firmly against the wooden flooring and squeezes his eyes shut. Though the use of his power is effortless, the intense pain he receives from using his powers outside of purgatory makes it absolutely draining.

As ice begins to spread on the ground from his hands, he starts to feel as if a literal fire had been lit inside him. The longer he uses his power, the more it spreads. From the marrow of his bones to the blood in his veins, it grows until it starts consuming his whole body. Though he tries hard not to scream, he can't help but let out a whimper of pain.

Jisung suddenly gasps loudly, his eyes flying open. He finds his body is still burning despite the fact he's stopped using his powers, and the whole room is covered in a thick layer of ice. His vision begins to double and move though he is still stationary. Suddenly, Jisung collapses onto his side, letting the fire take him over and torture his 'body' and soul.
