We continued talking about our favourite bands and movies and the more we talked the more I realised how hard I was falling for him and not in a fan girl kind of way either. After about 10 minutes, we had made it to the carnival.

“Well, here we are!” He said. He held out his hand, I held it and we intertwined fingers. I know this sounds cheesy, but it felt so right. I was smiling like a little girl.

“Okay, so do you promise not to laugh at me on the scary rides!?” I asked him.

“I ain’t promising anything!” He laughed and I playfully pushed him. We kept walking until he pointed out a ride that spun right around.

“NO WAY!” I shouted.

“Yes way! I’ll be next to you the whole time! Please!” He begged whilst pouting.

“How can I say no to that adorable face!?” We both laughed and made our way to the ride.

We got onto the ride straight away, I was starting to feel nervous.

“I can’t do this oh my god.” I complained, he put his hand on top of mine.

“Yes you can.” He smiled and then off we went.

We got off the ride, it was the scariest thing.

“I think I’m deaf from all that screaming of yours.” He joked, we both laughed.

“Hey, you knew what you were getting yourself into!” I winked.

After that we went on a few more rides, I was having so much fun and I didn’t want the night to end.

“Crap, it’s almost 10:00!” He said, “We gotta get on the Ferris Wheel in time for the fireworks!”

He grabbed my hand and we both ran until we reached the Ferris wheel, luckily the line was short! We both got on to the wheel and it started slowly turning. It stopped each time a carriage reached the top and our carriage stopped just as the fireworks were starting.

“Perfect.” He smiled. I rested my head on to his shoulder as we watched the fireworks.

“This is beautiful.” I said, he lifted up my head and we locked eyes.

“You’re beautiful.” He said. I just smiled, I really wanted him to kiss me but it never happened. I rested my head back on his shoulder. We kept watching the fireworks, I could feel his heartbeat, and I just smiled. It was the most perfect night. I looked up at him.

“Hey Dylan” I smiled. “Do you th-“

“Oh, Screw it.” He said, before I could say anything his lips crashed against mine, it was magical. Everything around us just disappeared like we were the only two people in the world. I never wanted this moment to end.
