Chapter eleven.

The next morning I woke up in a hotel room. Rowan was still fast asleep and her soft snores filled the room. I knew the boys had an early interview this morning so when I heard someone knock on the door I had no idea who it could be. I quickly slipped out of bed, pulled a sweater over my head, fixed my bed hair and walked over to the door. To my surprise I was greeted by Calum’s smile. 

‘Didn’t you guys have an interview?’ I asked when I looked at him with raised eyebrows. 

Cal chuckled ‘Goodmorning to you too Ali. And yes we had but we already got back, you do know it’s already half past eleven right?’ 

My mouth fell open and I took a step back so I could look at the big clock that hung above the bed. It indeed said it was half past eleven. I normally woke up around nine so I didn’t really expect it to be this late. 

‘Oh.’ 

Calum laughed ‘You probably needed it, but I was actually coming to tell you guys to get ready. We have a meeting with the 1D boys in an hour and we want you guys to come with us. 

I looked at him with big eyes ‘Are you for real? Ogod Rowan is going to freak. 

I met the guys before but Row didn’t and let me just tell you that she is a big One Direction fan.

‘I already told them we were bringing a big fan.’ Calum grinned. 

‘Where are the other boys?’

‘Oh Luke and Michael went to grab some food and Ash had to talk with the management about something but they will all be back here in half an hour.’ 

I frowned ‘Why did Ash have to go to management?’ 

Cal shrugged ‘I don’t know Ali, but don’t worry about it it’s probably fine. Now go wake Rowan up and get ready, we’ll meet you two in half an hour in the lobby okay?’ 

I nodded and went back inside. I was a little bit worried about Ash though, if he had to come to management alone it had to be something serious.

‘Row, wake up.’ I said, trying to wake my best friend. 

She groaned and turned around to face me ‘Why? I’m tired.’ 

I grinned ‘It’s half past eleven Row and we’re going to meet One Direction in half an hour,’ I said like it was the most normal thing in the world. 

She closed her eyes again, not realizing what I had said ‘Okay.’ 

I counted till three in my head. I was at two when she opened her eyes and almost fell out of bed ‘Did you just say something about meeting One Direction?’ 

I laughed ‘Yes I did, now go get ready.’ 

She looked at me with wide eyes and then without any warning she started screaming. She jumped of the bed and hugged me so tightly I couldn’t breathe. 

‘OmygodOmygodOhmygod.’ She kept repeating as she couldn’t stop jumping up and down. 

‘I’m going to meet One direction.’ She squealed. 

‘You’re going to meet One Direction,’’ I repeated with a smile, I loved seeing her so happy.

‘You girls ready?’ Luke grinned when we stood in front of the stadium. 

The boys would be playing here tonight and they and the 1D boys had to do a sound check in twenty minutes. I looked at the stadium with wide eyes, it was so big. I would shit my pants if I knew I would be standing in front of such a huge crowd tonight but the boys all seemed very calm. 

‘I’m more than ready,’ Rowan giggled as we walked towards the entrance. 

I grabbed Ash’s his hand but when I wanted to link our fingers he just shook his head and pulled his hand away. I frowned, what the hell was that? I already noticed that he was a little off since he came back from his talk with management but when I looked at him now I saw something else. Sadness and guilt. I could see it in his eyes, I knew him well enough for that. He smiled but it didn’t reach his eyes, his sad eyes were back again and I hated them. 

‘What’s wrong?’ I asked as I grabbed his hand again. 

This time he didn’t pull his hand away but he also didn’t answer me. He just bit his lip and looked away. 

‘Ash, what’s wrong?’ I asked again. 

I tugged on his hand so he had to stop walking. He sighed and ran his hand through his hair. 

‘Nothing, I’m just tired.’ 

‘I don’t believe you.’ 

‘I’m not lying.’ 

‘Yes you are, I can see it in your eyes Ash.’ 

He sighed again and closed his eyes for a few seconds ‘Can we talk about this after the sound check?’ 

Now it was my turn to sigh ‘Only if you promise me we will.’ 

He nodded slowly and started walking again ‘Okay, I promise.’ 

The others were waiting for us, they had a worried look on their face but they didn’t say anything. I knew the boys had also noticed that something was wrong with Ash, he was always the happiest and the loudest but today he was very quiet. 

‘Look who we got there!’ A very Irish accent said from behind us. 

We all turned around to see Niall standing there with a huge grin on his face and a girl at his side. She had long brown hair and looked up at him, smiling while their hands were intertwined. They looked really cute and I must admit that I didn’t know he had a girlfriend. 

Rowan squealed and some weird noises came from her mouth as she stared at Niall with big eyes. Luke had to hold her back otherwise I was sure she would have tackled him. 

Niall let out a laugh ‘I guess you’re the big fan they were talking about, it’s nice to meet you.’ He said to Rowan. 

I burst into giggles when I saw how hard my friend was struggling with her words and feelings. Just when I thought she was about to faint the other boys came through a big black door. There was also another girl with them but she walked behind Harry so I couldn’t really see her.

‘Alison!’ Louis screamed as he ran towards me. 

I grinned and opened my arms for the boy ‘Louis!’

‘It’s so good to see you again love. Ash was not himself without you, everyone could see that, so we’re really glad you’re here.’ He said as he hugged me.
