It's been a week since that slap I gave to bull head. I thanked my stars that he didn't give me over time or mountain size files to correct. He tried to be rude but I see the guilt every time he sees me. Only guilt is not the one I require, he should apologize me. Now I am setting the table of conference room for the meeting. I think captain may come. Thank god today cutie is here. I don't have to attend the boring meeting.
All are seated and I went out to make the order for coffees to serve the delegates in meeting. I ordered the coffees and told one of the peon to serve. When I was about to sit, there came captain. "You look exhausted" he said, I smiled at him and gestured him to sit on sofa. As I am free now I can give him some time.
"I am sorry captain, on that day I was not feeling well so didn't get the time." I said with guilt. "Leave it. How are you? " he asked. "Fine, I guess." Every time I see him, I think about Siya."I heard about Siya." there was a pause "I am sorry about it" he said "Don't be, by the way how do you know about her?" I asked, I didn't tell him anything the last time we met. "Ah ..I...I talked to Mr. Shastri about it, he told me." he stuttered. "oh" was all I could say.
We talked further and all the delegates started coming out of conference hall. Bull head noticed us with a frown on his face. He reached us with long strides "What are you doing here?" he asked captain. Wow what a way to welcome your cousin, note the sarcasm. "I am here to meet the beautiful lady in front of me ." captain said it to irritate bull head. I am now blushing like a tomato. "It is my office so please flirt with her after office hours." he said annoyed with his cousin. "Oh common Varun, did Lauren visited you yesterday so you are taking all your anger on me?" I think I have heard the name Lauren.
"No, she won't come hence forth." he said as if a pile of problem has been solved. "Why? How did she get such good brain?" captain asked. "Actually, my PA said how dumb she was to make the short film 'The Love'" I was stunned by bull head's statement. "Wait a minute. The lady who came before captain was the FL of that crap film?" I asked horrified . If there is yes to my question, then I feel the guilt stabbing my heart now itself. Whether the film is crap or not but it involves hard work.
"Yes" was the answer and my face fell. Why Mondays are always bad for me. I need to go and do some magic to my stars so that I don't get bad Mondays. By the time I recovered from the guilt both cousins were laughing. I realised bull head told him the story. "Why are you laughing? I feel really bad for telling all those things to her." I said "You know, you did a great job by doing this." captain said.
"Actually, we selected Lauren as the model to advertise a computer security product. But when we said that, she didn't agree so, my dear cousin Varun did a little flirting with her. After the shoot she got this offer of short film. I still can't believe that crap became successful." captain said. "I think the dumb girls like Lauren watches such type of films." This comment was from bull head.
"So where was I? yes, she thinks that Varun is her lucky charm and she is not leaving him since that film. She wants to marry him so his luck can help her in future." I couldn't help but laugh with captain. "Yes laugh on my misery" Bull head said to which we both laughed more.
Captain excused himself to somewhere. "Why do you call Karan as captain?" I knew this question would arise. "You know, me and captain were in same school. There was a cricket match between 'A' sections of high school and 'B' sections of high school. I was not at all interested in cricket but for the sake of team, Karan convinced me to take part and we won. He was the main reason for the success. He performed all the duties of captain. So I call him captain." I explained, how I wish to go back to that time.
Suddenly I was dragged to bull head's cabin by none other than bull head. He locked the door of the cabin and took a predatory steps towards me. "You have the audacity to slap your boss Miss. Murthy." Damn it, I thought he forgot. He was still taking steps towards me so I started backing until I was hit by table. He came close to me, very very close. We were inches apart.
