Omari sat proudly as his lawyer made her statement to the jury. In these past five weeks he had the privilege of seeing her in action and he was regretting his descion for her not to practice after their first child was born. She was good at it.

'I am standing infront of you right now not to beg or try to change your mind but just ask you to do what is right. Make a verdict based upon facts and the fact is that the accused never lay a hand on the accuser. Facts prove that he was never near where the body of the deceased was found...'

His mind trailed off to four nights ago when they made love in his office. Her attire today made him think of that night,she had on a white shirt and a gray skirt with a matching jacket. The skirt hugged her back and thighs so well it was as if it was made on her.

'Omari!'

'Huh?'

'What are you dreaming about,I have been calling your name for more than thirty seconds. The judge called for an hour recess while the jury makes a decision.'

'Want to grab some lunch?'

They left the courtroom

'If you stare at my ass any longer,I will have to make you pay.'

He smacked her behind as they walked into the restaurant across from the courthouse. They ordered their lunch which came after twenty minutes. Her cellphone rang just as she was about to fork her meal.

'Oh ohk we are on our way now.... That was the judge he needs to see us in his office right now.'

'Why? What happened?'

'We will find out together when we get there.'

They walked into the courthouse and were directed towards the room the jury was using for deliberation. Omuhle subconsciously grabbed her husband's hand and squeezed it. His heart sank when the first person they saw as they walked in was April.

' Chloe,why are we all here?'

She asked April's lawyer who she knew before they first met at the bail hearing. They met in university while both doing law.

'Dimps I am as surprised as you. I got the call while I was going through other cases.'

The judged called up April after everyone involved was present. Omar grabbed her hand tighter as April took the stage.

'First I would like to apologise for wasting state time and money and everyone else's time. I have let this go on for too long but I cannot continue. Omuhle I am sorry for putting you through everything. I was hurting and I wanted to punish him for everything he had put me through and everything I allowed him to put me through but I took it out on the wrong person-'

Her lawyer stood up in her defense cutting her off.

'April think about what you are saying and about to say. Excuse me your honor can I consult with my client first.'

' No Chloe it's gone on for far too long. I cannot do this anymore.'

' April anything you say cannot be taken back. Just think about this.'

'This has gone on for too long,I am sorry Chloe.'
