You did not think to come see how I was doing when my son was ripped out of me or even call just to check if he was found or if we had a lead on the kidnappers and you did not come to see about me when you heard he was found or that my husband was in jail. Worse of all mother,you did not even take the time to call your oldest daughter to find out how I was doing when you heard that my attacker was also my husband's mistress and do not dare tell me you did not know because I know for a fact that your precious daughters kept you updated. Even though I do not know why they bother when all you care about is yourself. We are just another inconvenience in your life like dad was.'

Her mother stepped closer to her and spoke softly not to alert the reporters around them.

'Do not speak about my deceased husband like that. You will respect me and your father's memory. I loved your father till his dying day. You know I was out-'

Omuhle cut her off

'Do not use that excuse with me. Your sister's flew from all over the world to see about me and search with us. While you were out there trying to get your groove back with that little boy. Now because you might loose your investment and social standing you want to  try talk to me about my marriage. Mother please,go back to whichever hole you crawled out of and leave me to deal with my own life like I have been doing these past thirty-three years.'

Her mother tried to grab her as she walked away from her but only caught the hem of her dress which immediately slipped out of her fingers.  Viola hated that her relationship with her was so strained but she knew she was to blame.

'Are you okay?'

Omuhle looked up to be met with her husband's concerned face. She quickly wiped away her tears and for the second time that night told a lie.

'I am fine.'

'Yeah I can see by those tears.'

'What do you want Omari?'

He could not understand why she was still so mad at him but he knew that he was not giving up on his family.

'Saw you with your mother and thought I should check up on you.'

'Well there was no need I am fine. Excuse me I have to leave.'

Omari blocked her way and took her smartphone which had more of her attention than he did.

'Who is they and where are you going?'

'Nunya!now move.'

Omari stood his ground as she tried to push him away. They starred each other down after she tried a few times and failed to push him away from her exit. Feeling frustrated,she just cried and let him soothe her.
