Sandra
Two years of long and rigorous journey had just given way to her entrance into year three ( senior year). "It feels good" she said. Right from the very first day she got into the school she had fixed her eyes on the day she'll become a senior and there it was staring at her straight in the face.
She welcomed the new class with open arms and an open heart, knowing full well that it was the last class of highschool. This was a time to really test herself, have the last two years made her a better person? Has it taught her any lessons? Has it pushed her further into her goals or left her exactly how she had been?
Coming into highschool Sandra was a naive young girl trying to blend in with the trend, in so doing some very silly mistakes were made, more than a few wrong choices and so on. The journey from day one reshaped her perspective of life in good and bad ways. She connected with awesome people and saw life through their eyes. She brushed past some not-so-good people and also saw life through their eyes. Memories of the joy, pains, victory, failure came back, year one alone almost made her say bye bye to school because of how they had struggled, and the teaching methods some teachers adopted but here she was at the starting point of the final lab of the highschool race.
At this point, the once upon a time naive girl had all it took to face the real world, a reputation was built and her name caved boldly into the history books of Wuse Heights. She loved the new Sandra, the senior year Sandra and the soon to be graduated Sandra.
Being a senior came with some level of respect both from the teachers and the students, after all it wasn't easy attaining it so it's required and she loved it. The new found freedom was great; "I can't believe I don't have to do morning clean ups again ". She said with a beautiful smile, it was a big relief for us all. Lots of things did change for her but one thing remained, her playful and fun seeking personality.
There's a play called catcher, played by three or more persons where one of them chases after the rest until he or she touches someone else after which the person will do the chasing. Sandra had always loved the game but senior year got her crazy about it, she and a group of friends decided to play and bet you it was one of the day of her life in highschool but it didn't end without some injury as Sandra fell while trying to escape being touched but still it didn't stop her from enjoying that very special moment.
Year three brought out the best in her but she constantly wished she had played more, very unlike someone who had a serious exam to write but most of us also had the same wish at some point.
Bisola"Yessssssss! We made it" she said shouting and hugging everyone in sight. "finally seniors, wow! I'm on top of the world right now" she kept shouting. No one celebrated the new class more than her.
She had spent the last two years dreaming of the very day she'll become a senior and the dream finally came through.
Becoming a senior felt so good, the excitement expressed by Bisola said it all. The new class came with its own struggles but she always found an escape route by attending English classes, "every English class was special" she said. Almost everyone of us loved the class, they were epic. Her enthusiasm about the subject made her one of Mr Ali's favourites, Bisola became a very common name in his mouth, he even made her his assistant and she loved it.
Senior year not only saw to a new start academically it also saw to the beginning of a new relationship as Bisola got hooked up with another guy, Ahmed. She loved him mainly for his height and personality, handsome too and had dimples, a goal that will never be reached by me,the dimples.
