Sandra
In the last part Sandra made us know that she never really wanted to attend Wuse Heights so she wasn't so excited beginning year one of senior school there. The memories of her junior school stuck stubbornly to her head that sometimes she would just shut out everyone, stare into space and just think about the good old days and what her old friends would be doing. You may be standing right in front of her and she won't even notice your presence, it was that serious.
Settling down was extremely rough because according to her the people she met where rude and the teachers could "insult for Africa". No one really excited her and compared to her former school the environment was pretty boring. After a long time of being a one girl's squad she finally made two friends, Toyin and Dolapo.
The trio became so close that if you see one of them you are likely to see the the other two. They did everything and went everywhere together. They were sisters from different parents. Ordinarily you'll think they've been friends all their lives.
As a way of beginning the new phase of studies Sandra in addition to her new found friendship also found love. She got hooked up with Dickson, a class mate.At first they began as friends and later moved on to playing a couple before they finally decided to take it a step further. The funny thing about Sandra and Dickson's relationship was that Dickson never actually asked her to be his girlfriend, they just found themselves caught up in the web of love and decided to remain tangled there. Sandra at first got attracted to him because of his personality-- friendly, nice, interesting and good looking. She loved him dearly, in fact we all thought they were the perfect couple.
They both enjoyed each others company, talked a lot and showed everyone that they weren't joking.
Being a very pretty girl in face, shape, character and brain,Sandra got advances from other guys but the crazy thing was that they all went through Dickson (he told her on their behalves). How crazy can that be? Like wise other girls came to Dickson but he proved not to be faithful after all, he kissed them and would tell her without shame or remorse. The other girls would even tell her about the kisses they had with him. But surprisingly she wasn't bothered, probably because Dickson had already bragged about it.
The relationship kept on going steadily with Sandra having to accept it the way it was
As time passed the true Dickson was seen and the love Sandra had for him gradually turned to tolerance. He turned out to be a dishonest, indecisive and gullible person. She got fed up, she just could not keep cleaning up his mess and making decisions for him and the seven months relationship, the once upon a time model high school couple separated and became very good friends.Aside from her relationship, one thing Sandra loved to do was write. She could spend an entire day writing. As time progressed it became a vital part of her. She did not just write, she wrote materials that could compete with books and articles of very high standards and reputation.
Year one was not easy for anyone of us. Sandra describes it in three words -- fun, exciting and complicated.
Bisola
With her bag hung on the back, a neatly pressed top and shinny blue skirt, Bisola walked gallantly into the class for her first lesson in senior school. Like the seat was specially reserved for her, she walked straight onto an empty desk by the window which every other person had sworn not to be seen in.
A huge smile stuck to her face like the one on the faces of the man and woman on the packet of Oxford cabin biscuit, this was probably because she loved the subject that was being taught or was just too excited to finally be a senior in high school. But I think it was a combination of the both.
