"I'm going to go find them," Jack announced, leaving the room.

Sebastian and Hunter were late to a Warbler meeting for the first time. They had cut it close before, but they hadn't been late.

Soon her heard them.

"-kidding me?! When I tell you to stop, you stop!"

"What did you do?!"

"I told you to stop!"

"Not that! The-" he heard Hunter's voice break. "This."

"It's not your problem!"

"I'm your boyfriend, it is my problem!"

"As my boyfriend, you need to respect my privacy!"

There was a moment of silence. "Sebastian. What are these?" Hunter asked, voice soft.

"It's nothing," Sebastian said through gritted teeth.

"It's something. Sebastian, please tell me." He could hear that Hunter was crying.

"Hunt, it's not- it's not what you think."

"Sebastian, please tell me you didn't burn yourself." Hunter's voice was scarcely above a whisper.

Jack snapped out of his trance, realizing they were waiting on him. He headed back to the Warbler practice room.

"Well?" someone asked.

He shook his head. "Um, it sounds like there's an emergency. They probably won't be here."

"What kind of emergency?"

He sat down. "A dead serious one." He put a bit of emphasis on the word dead, voice quiet.
