Hunter wasn't about to give Sebastian some time. After the last time something like this happened, he wasn't going to let him be alone. He hardly waited a minute before excusing himself from the group.
He took Sebastian's crutches with him, wishing the boy hadn't been in such a hurry that he had forgotten them.
He knocked gently on the door to their dorm. "Sebastian, I'm going to come in," he said just loud enough for the boy to hear him, unlocking the door.
The room was still perfectly in order, but Sebastian wasn't. He was lying on his bed, on his back, looking like he had either fallen asleep or passed out. There were tear tracks on his cheeks.
Hunter quietly walked over to him, not wanting to wake him. He carefully hovered his hand in front of Sebastian's mouth, feeling him breathing. Then he took his pulse, which was perfectly normal for a sleeping person.
Feeling much more relaxed, Hunter checked the dorm for any signs of something wrong. Everything looked fine- it looked like Sebastian had simply fallen asleep.
Hunter sat down on his own bed, looking across at Sebastian. He knew he wasn't going to be able to sleep. What if Sebastian had another nightmare?
