Sebastian took a shaking breath once Hunter left, finally just letting the tears fall where nobody could hear him.
He would do anything to get rid of those disfiguring marks on his skin. Anything.
He just didn't know what they were.
His head snapped up from where it was resting on his knees. The marks were on his skin. If the skin was gone and created a new layer, the marks would be gone too.
So he ran a washcloth under hot water and rang it out. Then he scrubbed away at his hip like there was no tomorrow.
When he didn't see it working he went faster and harder. It needed to be gone.
Memories flashed through his mind as he desperately tried to rid himself of it.
'The moment I lied eyes on you, I knew. I should have given you up, but I had too much faith. Maybe it would go away! Now look at you, freak.' A blow to the head.
'I'm sorry, I'm sorry-'
'But you haven't gotten rid of it!' Shoved backwards. 'If you were sorry, you would get rid of it!' A kick to the side.
'I can't! I don't know how!'
Another kick. 'Figure it out, you ugly little freak!''Stop being so fucking difficult, you little fag.'
He was fighting to get away, pinned down to the concrete. He hated alleyways. Nobody ever saw into them.
'I said stop being so difficult!' A blow to the face. Nothing he hadn't handled before.
'Get off of me!'
'Come on, shut up and take it like a man.'
'Dude, look at this.'
A cruel laugh. 'Oh my god, it's defective.'
'With that, you little fag, this might be your only chance. So shut up and let us have our fun.'
'God, it's so awful. Look at this.'
'Fucking ugly.''W-what's that?'
His father turned over the smooth, black instrument in his hands. 'I figured I could make some marks on you that would match your hips.'
'I- I don't-'
'You don't get a say, freak. Now,' he cracked it in the air, smiling vindictively at the sound it made. 'Let's see how this works.''Hey! Hey, freak! Trip over your own feet again?' Shoved into a fence.
'Funny,' he mumbled, trying to keep walking.
'Hey, I'm talking to you! Yeah, you!' Shoved again. This time he fell.
Before he could stand back up, he heard laughter.
'Oh my god, dude, look at his side.'
'God, what'd he do, burn himself?'
'It's so ugly, look at it.'He found that he had dropped down to his knees, sobbing into his hands. He was sick of it all. He just wanted to-
"Sebastian?" The bathroom door opened. "Oh my god, Sebastian, are you okay? You're bleeding."
Hunter rushed over to him, but he couldn't respond. He couldn't say anything, only sobs came out.
He could feel Hunter gently clean and bandage his side, pulling him up. "Come here," he said softly, hugging him.
Sebastian hugged back immediately, sobbing into his shoulder.
