Sebastian blinked his eyes awake, feeling tired and weird.
Then he remembered what had happen.
He shot up- or, at least, tried to. He stopped, hissing in pain and setting a hand on his hip.
What did he do?
Hunter immediately rushed over to him, laying him back down. "Be careful, Sebastian. No sudden movements or-" he cut himself off, seeing the bandage where Sebastian had lifted his shirt to look at it. "Or you'll start bleeding again. Come here."
He gently helped Sebastian up, leading him to the bathroom. The first aid kit was already out on the counter.
Sebastian winced as Hunter unwrapped the bandage, but nothing stunned him more than when it was off.
"Fuck..." he whispered. There was no skin on his hip. It was...
He looked away, the sight making him feel nauseous. He never got nauseous. "What did I do?" he asked himself out loud.
Hunter looked up at him worriedly. "You don't remember? 'Cause that could be a real probl-"
"No, no, I remember," Sebastian quickly reassured him. "Well, most of it. I had a series of flashbacks and then you were here. I guess I was asking why I did it and what I did when I was having the flashbacks."
Still looking worried, Hunter nodded and bandaged the wound once more.
"Flashbacks of what?"
Sebastian froze, not even wincing at the pain being elicited in his side. His mouth went dry. "I... The past."
Really? That's the coverup?
Hunter only looked more worried. "Bas, what happened?"
"Events."
"Sebastian, please. I'm so worried about you. I leave for a few seconds and- and this happens, and you-" he swallowed, blinking back tears. "I saw you, Sebastian. You didn't have your wall up. You- you looked so scared, so hurt."
Sebastian hugged him, careful of his hip. "I... It's just hard to talk about," he whispered. "But I can try. I just... I don't want to lose you."
"Stop saying that, Sebastian. You're not going to lose me," Hunter said, hugging him tighter.
They stood there for a minute before walking back into the dorm, sitting on Sebastian's bed. Sebastian adjusted himself to the position that would cause him the least amount of pain.
"There's just one thing. You have to let me talk. No interruptions, no apologies. Otherwise I'll never get through it."
Hunter nodded. "I can do that. You just need to get this out of your system."
Sebastian took a deep breath. "So... There were four. The first one. It was my mother. She was telling me that the second she had seen me she should have given me up. That she had too much faith it would go away. She yelled at me for not figuring out how to get rid of it. She... She kicked me around a bit, too."
He could hear Hunter's quiet gasp, squeezing his eyes shut before continuing. Hunter didn't know about his parents.
"The third goes along with that. It was my father. He came home one day with a small case in his hands. It... He said we'd see if he could make some marks on my body the same color as it. It was the first whip he ever bought."
He blocked out the noise, not wanting to hear Hunter's reaction.
"The fourth was the kids at my old school. They never liked me. They shoved me around... But this time I fell, and my shirt got pulled up. They saw it. They thought I burned myself too."
He paused. He couldn't tell him the second one. He couldn't admit it.
"I guess there was just three, actually."
