Gordon captures black shuck
Gordon took Spencer, Aeculus hippocastanum, horse chestnut, dart; old demon weakness
Spencer batting, feeling throbbing in her head, her blurry vision becomes clear to see a bearded man, with medium hair, and green aesthetic-especially the back cape. "What'd you do to me?"
In a study room, work table with herbs, oils, salt crystals, a pot brewing on another desk. The fireplace lit and burning. Spencer is slouched on a chair. She is paralyzed. It's a throbbing pounding headache, his words sound like slurs, when he talks, the room is spinning there is more than one Gordon. He gives Spencer a cup of distilled white liquid, only clears Spencer's vision, there is still racquet in her head. Hard for her to think straight.
"A precaution. It was hard to find you." Gordon says. "I need to talk and I don't want you to slice my neck."
"No. What did you do to me? I can't move."
"Old black shuck and demon remedy, Aeculus hippocastanum."
"What's a black shuck?" Spencer asks rapidly opening and closing her eyes.
"Your farther? Other's, but it's a part demon, part hell hound. Black shuck, huldra, mares, draugen, and fulad-zerah. Half demonic beings and dangerous. Then there is different versions of the black shuck, but only one fulad-zurah. What do you think?"
Finally able to sit up in the chair she can feel the supernatural side of her paralyzed. It was weird feeling throbbing, wobbling, numbness in her body. "What does it want?"
Gordon looks on his table for a book. He holds the book to tell Spencer, "If it existed the one that wants power, a beast, but he is also human. He kills through kingdoms he can eliminate kings, become king and rule a monarch and no one would ever have to know it's a creature of the night."
Gordon tells Spencer, she is a target, not a threat to the union, to the very thing that has advantage in the war, it doesn't want you, but he will kill anything in his way even Her.
She doesn't know all of what she is. Flashback Gordon telling:
Parents were slaughtered her mother hid her-it wasn't an army there was no war, something of the night, that was rumored from in the woods came into the house that night. (hot nickel made Spencer bleed, more longer to heal damage)
The enemy was ravaging through the forest she was on their trail since outside the kingdom.
The question to use her powers or not too, she could smell fear, it was human, it was the one who kept following her, the one who patched her up. If they were after her they were still taking out the warrior shoulders. One sniffed out Emily. Spencer couldn't hold it in she shifted into part hellhound, part demon. Ears, sharp canine teeth, claws, fiery eyes, like the night rider of the hellhound myth. The opportunity to work with them or against them. The devil, satan, were already abominations of the church. Instead of protect they should rebel. A lot of people were going to get hurt if he let this continue. Falling in love with a human made him realize it was worth it. His kind were evil, and he could stop them to save the humans, protect them from a hellish beast, the plan to murder thousands for the purpose of power.
Years later she was a match, but she was unaware of her true power and potential as she was in the dark, she didn't know anyone else like her. And there they were, but she couldn't do what they were doing. IT was something about the history of how her farther protected the humans, instead of them she would chose humanity.
"Why?" Spencer asks.
"I want to survive...this...what's coming." Gordon, "You're the one thing that's keeping the fulad-zurah away."
"This won't work on the fulad-zurah."
"I'm working on something. It will be deadly, hopefully it will work."
"Make it work because there will only be one shot with the beast."
Before releasing Spencer. A strand of orange glowing is in a container.
