In Gordon's study room Spencer talks to him, "I take on the fulad-zurah there will be no more and there will be no more black shuck. No one will have all that power."
"Yes. You didn't tell her did you?" Gordon asks. Spencer doesn't answer. "Stopping fulad-zurah and you may not come back you didn't tell her? That you may never see her again."
"Do you have the weapon?"
"Finely crafted." Spencer holds the sharp ended bone. "Bone of the first, the lamb blood, oak tree, ingredients not easy to find."
"I'm in the war. It's always possible that one day I may not come back."
"Is that what you tell yourself?"
Spencer holds the weapon heading towards the door. Gordon tells her, "There is a part of you left with her." He says to a confused Spencer. Spencer didn't say anything. That she gave Emily the sacred amulet from her farther.

She caught his scent. He will not make it to the castle. Intuition, that duty to protect to end this. Even if it kills her.
Out of the forest by the cliff above ocean water, she chased it, injured, tearing heads and ripping human intestines along the way. The great fire, the monstrous within, more powerful fighting to not let it control her.
Fulad-zurah wants to bring out the monstrous side, let her lose control and she does. Stabbing the beast with claws and then stabbing him with the weapon, monster vs. monster, sends a wave of a quake for miles all the way past the kingdom. The shattering causes a riff. A veil between earth and a void. They are both sucked into the oblivion, the void.
