Ashton POV

It was a few minutes before we needed to get on stage and Bethany still hadn't shown up. I was getting nervous because I gave her the right address.

Maybe she's just running late. I thought to myself.

The anklet was Luke's "good luck charm" without it he couldn't perform well.

I gave up and unlocked my phone so I could ask Bethany where is she.

Uh, where are you we're getting on stage in a few minutes?

I shut my phone off and waited for a reply.

While I was waiting, I looked over at Luke who was nervously tapping on the floor.

He was always nervous, I had to admit but he looked extra nervous.

"Don't worry Bethany has the anklet and she'll give it to you." I said trying to comfort him.

He turned around and looked at me.

"Wait, who?" He asked.

Shit. I said to myself. I didn't mean to say Bethany at all.

"Uh... A fan. Her name is Brenda."

"Oh... Alright." Luke said walking away.

I'm glad he didn't hear me well.

We were called to go on stage and I was starting to lose hope in Bethany coming.

Bethany POV

I was sitting in my house, bored as hell because I couldn't listen to 5SOS. I got a text and I opened it.

It was from Ashton.

Sad you couldn't make it :( is there another time you could drop it off to Luke?

I froze.

I forgot. 

I forgot to give the anklet back to Luke. 

I was getting ready for my date and I had completely forgot.

I got another text, but it was from Patricia.

Here's his number ;) 

A photo was attached with my date's number and I decided to text it.

Hi it's Bethany, who you're having a date with and I just want to confirm it's outside of the cafe where we'll be meeting up?

I shut my phone off and waited for a reply.

He didn't reply, yet but there was another reply.

From Daniel.

Earlier today, I told him I was breaking up with him. He just replied a minute ago and his response was,

...um okay have fun on your own when nobody wants you.

I shook my head and sighed.

Bethany POV

I got to San Jose, just in time for the date. I didn't even know what to expect but I was excited.

I looked around, and saw him smiling, waiting for me on the corner.

"Hey!" He said greeting me.
