It felt as if hours have passed but really only about 2 hours. You wanna know why? It was because the garden could be seen in the distance.

There were no vampires being seen from our current standpoint but you sure as hell hear them loud and clear. They sounded as if they were fighting about something.

"We need to get rid of the experiment in the capital! It could kill us all if it escaped!?" We all scooted closer to see two vampire nobles sitting in some garden chairs as if nothing was wrong in the world.

"You know if we do that, the queen will surely kill us. Nobody is allowed in that room unless they are being supervised."

"But Ferid does it all the time!" The vampire whined to the other vampire.

"You can't control Ferid. We all know that you idiot." I looked for Shinoa and she nodded her head at me to pounce on one of the vampire nobles.

All at once we ran out of the bushes, charging at the vampires that lept out of the way in record speed to avoid our bloodthirsty weapons. We were out for blood and it sure as hell was going to be theirs.

'Right.' It was as if I wasn't in control of my body for a second because I moved to the right just as a vampire sword was coming down onto my body.

'Thanks.' I said into my mind earning a small hum of approval from my demon.

Sweat poured down my forehead as the vampires continued to serve life-threatening swings with their swords. They didn't seem tired at all, then again I'm pretty sure that they're not alive in the first place.

"I guess humans have finally found a way to kill us vampires. Guess they had to cheat a little in order to do that didn't they." His friend laughed at his little joke.  A giant gust of wind knocked me straight to the ground as I yet again dodged his blade that barely missed me.

A green arrow whisked past me as it landed into the side of the vampire. His expression turned to a frown as his body started to turn to ash. A gust of wind came, bringing the dust into the air, leaving nothing behind.

"I WILL KILL YOU, YOU FILTH." Now that there was one vampire this was going to be a lot easier for us to take him down. We cornered the vampire near one of the stone walls.

"Do you really think you humans are any better than we are. You have destroyed this world along with all the people in it. You kill your own flesh and blood whi-" I didn't let him finish his sentence as I drove my blade into the spot where his dark heart laid. I activated my demon weapon, letting his body turn to ash. All that was left were his clothes that laid in the spot where he once stood.

"Stupid vampire." Shinoa spat at his clothing then motioned for us to follow her to where Guren told us to meet him. The spot he asked for us was about 30 minutes from here by walking but if we ran we could probably make it there in like 15 or 10 minutes.

"Let's head out to regroup with the others." We nodded our heads to our leader and began to run down the giant highways that once had people driving their cars on it.

Our once growing population has deteriorated so fast in one day.

The run through the city was quite calming considering we were in a battle zone at the moment. The wind had a slight breeze and there was a sweet scent of nature that made the place so calming.

The calmness didn't last long as the sound of fighting was becoming closer and closer as we came to our destination. A faint smell of iron and sweat could be smelled as well as swords clashing.

As we came even closer two blobs could be seen fighting. The one had black hair while the other had longer more silver/light purple hair. They were so fast you barely tell what they were doing.

All you could really tell was that the army uniformed person was losing and they were losing badly. They were all battered and bruised from what I could tell.

Finally, the vampire gave the soldier a hard kick that sent them flying down to the ground. My heart stopped for a second to see it was our commander Guren that was lying down on the ground.

He laid against a rock, clutching his shoulder tightly. There were bruises that littered his torso and face.

I ran into the battlefield with the full intent of protecting Guren. He may have been a complete jerk to me in the past and present but he is one of the people who I still consider apart of my family.

I mean the people now are ok but I still have trust issues with everyone currently. Then again I do kinda trust my demon considering how much he doesn't like to talk to me.

The vampire struck his sword into Guren's shoulder, laughing as he groaned.

"My my how lovely you were to play with, but our game must come to an end." He moved just in time for my blade to slightly cut his cheek.

"Guess we have another-" His smirk grew even wider as he looked at me from head to toe. "Wow! Look how much our little Yuuichiro has grown throughout all these years." Anger swelled inside of me as I recognized the person in front of me.

It was the same man who killed my entire family in front of me. The same man who took Mika away from me. He was the one who deserved to live throughout all the hardship. He provided for us despite how much he was suffering for it.

He let that monster drink his blood till he was barely alive for us. I could never waste the life that he has given for me. I need to live for Mika and for the others that should be here with me today.

His gaze went to my sword then his smirk got even bigger.

"Guess you found the weapon we left you." I gave him a dark glare before tightening the grip on my weapon. "Why not come out to play demon. I can sense your anger." Now that I think about it I feel a very dark aura inside of my body, wanting to come out.

Was it my demon?

The feeling was getting stronger and stronger the more seconds that passed. I was using my energy to hold him back, but what was making him so angry. Sweat started to come down my face as he slowly started to gain control of my body.

"That's right let your little friend come forward. I can feel his energy that is fully intent on killing me."

'Don't fall for his tricks! He's taunting you right now.'

'I know but I can't control myself.' Slowly my vision of the world started to fade away as my demon took full control over my body.

The world inside of my mind was so dark that there was barely any light around.

The only thing that was being seen around me was my demon had a very dark aura around him.

He was murmuring something under his breath that I couldn't understand. There was one sentence that I could understand from him.

"He needs to die...."

Did he know him when he was human or something else?

I walked towards my demon who was playing some type of memory in front of him. It confused me at first because it was of Ferid slaughtering everyone, but it wasn't from my POV. It looked as if it was from Mika's

But how is that possible?

I quickly walked up to my demon. He didn't notice me at first.

The world seemed to stop rotating as I pulled the hood down from my demon. He didn't seem to notice what was happening. By time he noticed it was far too late to do anything.

The person sitting in front of me was the one person who I thought died all those years ago. The one person who gave me the life that I'm living right now.

"Mika......"
