I walk towards the Front Office and I see my mom. What is she doing in there I ask myself. "We are about to leave, just let me finish this paper work!!" My mom says to me as I sit down next to her. "Okayy, where we going?" I ask. "You'll see." She says being smart with me. Iwatjch my mom sign paper after paper then I figure it out.
"Those are withdrawal forms? Are you kidding me mama, your taking me out of Ridgeway?" I yell at her.
"First of all, who are you talking to and yes it's for your own good." She replies.
"Mama I can't believe you would just take me out of Ridgeway like this." I say tears filling my eyes.
"I just want the best for you baby, that's all." She says sounding like a mother.
She hands the papers to the Data Clerk, Mrs.Bailey.
"Withdrawal forms, Chrisette you leavin' us?" She asks.
"Yes Maam, I'm afraid I am."
"Imma Miss you girl. Come give me a Big Hug before you leave."
I walkaround the back of her messy desk and give her hug. Bye, girl be good over there at Isle of Hope. Isle of Hope? I ask myself. That's the School mommy's talking about sending me to. I've never even heard of that. I leave from behind her desk and goe back into the Main Office.
Chrisette before we leave you need to go turn in your books to the library. "Okayy." I say. I walk out of the office and make my way diwn the hall to library. "Hey Chrissy!" Mrs.Orr says. Mrs, Orr is My best friend Zyare's mon. "Today's my last day." I say frowning at her, placing my books in the Check-In box. "Are you serious, Nooo!!!! Zyare's gonna be devastated when I tell him." Mrs.Orr says. "I know, I'm gonna miss him and Imari so much." I say. She runs to give me a hug. "We are gonna miss you. " She says. "I'm gonna miss yall too." I say. And then I walk out the door. "Alright Chrisette let's go." My mom says getting up, as soon as I open the door. " But I didn't say bye to any of my friends." I say. "I don't care, I don't even like them." She says. "But mama." "No let's go before your late to your to late to your new school." My mom says.
