It was calm and quiet in the forrest. A white tailed deer and its baby were grazing in the grass. Suddenly there was a rustle in the surrounding bushes. The mother looked up from grazing and stood there for a moment ears pricked strait up listening for danger. After a moment or two she went back to grazing sensing no danger. A twig snapped and growles came from the nearby bushes. The deer and her baby started to run hoping they would be able to outrun what wanted them for brekfast. A gray wolf with blood stains all over his fur came flying out of the bushes and dug his teeth into the mother deer's flank. The baby deer keept running till he was out of sight. Two wolves and three dogs came out of the bushes. One of them chased after the baby. The gray wolf placed the deer he had killed on the ground and signalled the others over to eat. They all came over quickly to get their meal, but one lagged behind the others. A red colored siberian husky that use to be a pet did not like the idea of eating fresh kill. She would rather eat dog food that humans prepared. The wolf named Alexi, a west siberian laika, stoped and turned to face the siberian husky. "Misha, you shouldnt of run away from home with me if you are going to be like this. You knew there would be no dog food out here." Misha was about to say somthing when the golden colored wolf stopped eating and turned around. "Leave her alone she will get use to it eventually." She barked. Alexi swished her tail, "It has been over a year since we left, Hanovi!" She Growled. "Some dogs take longer than others!" Hanovi growled back. Misha didnt like when they argued so she never got involved. The gray wolf named Toko, the leader of the pack, barked,"QUIET!" His ears priked up as if he was listening for something. Everyone just stood there listening for a minute. Off in the distance a tree snaped and fell to the ground. "What was that?" Misha said. Bodder, an elkhound, sniffed the air "Its a bear" he barked. The bear was getting close pretty fast. Alexi looked toward Toko and barked, "What should we do?" He looked around, "This way!" he barked. He ran and they all followed close behind. The bear seemed to still be following. When they got to a certain tree Misha realized where they were. While Toko and the pack turned right she turned left. Hanovi barked, "Where are you going?" "This way is safer."She barked back. Misha continued going in the opposite direction to the others. Hanovi decided to follow. Toko looked back and noticed that they werent there. He stopped running to ask the others "Where did they go?" he barked. Alexi and Bodder looked over to the left where they could see them running through the trees. "Those troublemakers" he barked angrilly. He started to run towards them. The other two followed. Hanovi barked at Misha, "How is this way safer?" Misha smiled. "Just trust me." She barked back. They eventually came to a bunch trees with vines going between them. They were impossible to go through. But they were just low enough to jump over. Toko was close enough behind that they could hear him. "Dont! There is humans beyond those vines!" He barked loudley. Hanovi looked at Misha questionably. "Just a myth plus whats so wrong with humans?" Misha barked as she jumped over the vines landing perfectly on her feet. Hanovi stood there wondering if she should jump the vines or not. Toko and the others had caught up. The bear was verry close behind. Suddenly everyone realized why the bear seemed to be chasing them. The one member of the pack that was supose to be chasing the baby deer had aparantly provoked the bear somehow. It was chasing her as she was following the packs scent. The situation was obvious. "Either jump the vines like I said or get killed by a bear." Misha barked. Hanovi jumped the vines. Alexi and bodder followed. Nyla, the member of the pack being chased by the bear, jumped the vines without hesitation. Nyla was a wolf that looked alot like a hyena and a fox combined with a wolf. She was a bit strange but according to Toko she was the best member of the pack. Toko looked back at the bear then decided to jump the vines. The bear aparantly knew about the vines and decided to stop and turn around. After Toko jumped the vines he wasnt pleased. He looked Misha strait in the eye with his ears back and his teeth showing he growled, "You need to learn to obey the pack leader. Im not going to put up with you leading again. Remember your place!" Misha backed up with her ears folded and her tail between her legs. No one ever talked back to Toko when he was furious. He has a quick temper and his threats are serious. If anyone were to talk back they would get a bite taken out of them. The scars and blood staines all over his fur prove that he is not to be messed with. "Now everyone follow me" he barked as he walked down the grassy path.
