Requested by @iamKhrfan123: "Could I request one about Tony falling in love with Pepper's artistic insecure and anti-social little sister?"

. . .

"What are you working on?"

"What are you working on?"

You looked up from your drawing, the world slightly hazy from staring at the blank page for so long. Tony motioned with a cup of steaming coffee to the empty pages sitting in your lap, then to the pile of crumpled papers laying on the floor at your feet.

"Oh, nothing. I'm just out of inspiration, I guess," you chuckled nervously, a blush rising on your cheeks and the tips of your ears. God, why did you have to blush so easily? And why did it always have to happen around your sister's boyfriend?

"Well, what are you going for? Maybe I can help."

"No, that's okay, I think I can–"

Before you had even finished your sentence, Tony was sprawled next to you on the couch.  "I insist," he said, grinning. You always thought that there was a part of him that liked the effect he had on you: the blushing and stuttering and all that.

You shifted away from him as gently as possible. You didn't want to provoke him – or his teasing. Especially not now when you were living with them. Him and your sister, Pepper, that is. It was only temporary. A few weeks, and you'd have an apartment of your own. You only needed a place to stay because of how bad things got with Liam. Tony and Pepper had insisted on getting you away from him and that toxic place you'd been living in together.

"You really don't have to do this, Tony," you said softly, eyes trained on where your hands were clasped in your lap.

Tony smiled at you, that edged half-smile that always made you melt. "So, what's the assignment? Or main theme or whatever?"

You bit the inside of your cheek to keep yourself from smiling too wide. "My professor gave us two days to come up with a painting that represents the word 'dehumanization'. I've been staring at this page," you whipped said page in the air in front of Tony's face, "for almost two hours."

"I get that sometimes in the shop."

"No, you don't," you said without missing a beat. Tony looked surprised for a moment – before his face spread into the widest grin you'd ever seen. "I just mean that you're always moving on to 'The Next Project' without even hesitating."

"Well, maybe that's your problem."

You lifted a brow as if to say, 'go on'.

"Stop hesitating. Whatever it is you want, go for it. Seize it! You're young, beautiful, hard-working, and incredibly talented. All that doesn't leave room for hesitation."

Damn it. The blush was back full force.

"Yeah, I guess."

You could feel Tony's eyes on you as you picked up your pencils and began to sketch. You hoped he didn't notice how badly your hand was shaking.

"There you go," he said softly. You didn't look up when you felt the couch shift and heard Tony's footsteps leaving the room.

You released the breath you'd been holding.

It was a nice sentiment. It was. And you knew he was just trying to help. You knew that. The problem was... the one thing you wanted – or rather who you wanted, was also the one person you could never have.
